  1. Dirk, If you need a prototype I would recommend POP. We made a mold from it and it works great. We are currently working on a design for the next one. Unless you are doing major production POP molds work really well. Did you see the RTV mold that Mike Simpson had at Crappie Camp? He makes lots of baits with it. I would be concerned about the weld holding when you put hot plastic in the modified mold. Just my two cents.
  2. The wife and I are going to try to make it. She wasn't abl to make the spring camp.
  3. Don't know if you have noticed but they are planning the fall crappie camp.
  4. Dirk I had the same problem and went to a pan and less plastic also. Are you doing any fishing?
  5. I've bought from Barlows for years. The counter guys are a bit abrasive but the guys in the back are great. I just bought from Lurecraft for the first time and they are great. I had my stuff in 4 days.
  6. Well, it keeps storming so I need something to do. Pouring plastics should be fun. The smaller the mold cavity the harder it is to pour though.
  7. I'm ordering some molds from Lurecraft today. I'm sure that at some point I'll start making my own.
  8. I'm using a soft plastic mold I bought at Barlows.
  9. After reading posts for 4 days on "how to" I attempted some pours this afternoon. I think they came out good for my first attempt(s). 1st try Plus the 2nd and 3rd tries Thanks for all of the great posts.
  10. Here's some I tied today. Rained all weekend, no fishing!!!
  11. Love the site and forum. I have been tying jigs for a few years now. I just started pouring my own heads in December. Yesterday I bought some stuff to start pouring soft plastics. I've already acquired a lot of knowledge from the "don'ts for newbies" post.
