Denatured alcohol I mix the DA in the A and B before mixing. As for the mix ratio others will differ but mine is 1/8oz of DA per oz of epoxy. You also have to be aware of ambient heat in the room.If its warm I only thin a little if its cool I do the hole 1/8th oz.
It also depends how much you thin it, on PVC I thin mine to all most a milk viscosity with one coat and with wood a little thinner than a stock mix and still just one coat.
I use the hobby town 2 part and when fully cured it has just a slight tint to it and can only tell over a wight coat of paint its not as crystal as Etech or Devcon but its still good to a point.
Have you tried some of the local hobby stores. I get mine from hobbytown usa i/2 gal for 12 bucks here is a list of hobby stores in your state my be worth a shot or a call
I second Ben this is good stuffstuff and is also carried at Hobbytown USA and they have stores in a lot of states 3 in AL and a bunch in TX and if you cant pick it up it can be shipped from your closest one.
I also noticed less or no bubbles with this epoxy
Its almost imposable they have a lip in the seam and its imposable to separated with out compromising the integrity of the bait Iv tried. Most of the baits on the market now have this lip to increase the surface area of the seam for a stronger bond between segments.
I made an electric outboard out of a old electric go cart but it was hard to balance out and at full throttle it made the loudest racket and would shake the hole boat. It was a 24v motor and the run time at full was only 45 mins. but I hit 7.2 mph on the GPS and thats fast in a 12 jon using Tesla power IMHO . You can find the elec. carts or pocket bikes at a yard sale for cheep. The lower was a weed wacker cut down and I used a old transom mount from a minn kota that just fit the shaft . Any who it was a fun build and I got to play with junk.
To tell the truth
i like the wight walker it sits high on the water and has one of the loudest rattles that Iv herd on a surface bait and casts like a bullet
I do some float n fly fishing in the cooler months of the year. While I was browsing the enterwebs I found a good tut on tying a float n fly and thought I would just pass it along
IM not familiar with the h20's but that would be a good start. But its all in the way its ballast if it has large balls for weight and small ones for sound then you may not have a rattle when your done.
in my box Needle nose vise grips, adjustable wrench a bit screw driver (flat, Phillips and star) duct tape super glue picture wire and my autographed Macgyver Swiss army knife I could all most take over the world with my box
Forgot one stick epoxy (JB stick) I never know when my rusty bucket will spring a leak.
