You might want to shoot hok mid coat clear on before the dn.

Thanks for the help. I have tried epoxy and I ended up with bb's glued into the bait. I fished with a guy one time that had some dd22 with the bills bent straight and bb's added into the body. I am trying to make some like them. They would get a lot deeper than a stock dd22.

I have been reading this site fro a while now. Most of you guys have forgot more than I know about lures. I just paint lures. I have not got into making them yet. I am wanting to add some bb's to a dd22. The problem I am having is sealng up the hole after I add the bb's. Please help.

I buy the 2 oz bottles for that very reason. I had about 1/2 a quart get hard in the 2nd can. I had the top get stuck on the first can. I put plastic wrap over the bottle before I put the top on so I have a air tight seal.

I use it for a base coat. I don't paint many wood baits mostly plactic. The dn white is a very bright white.

my guess is the paint. I spray dick nights on all the lures I paint. I use lacquer baised paint from wasco. I have one color blue that will run every time if I spray on a thick coat. If I use that one color on a lure I have to dust it with a thin layer of d.n. clear and let it dry before I spray a final coat of clear.

I cut the net out of a .75 cent minnow net. Then place it in a needle point hoop.

wasco sells (taxidermy.com) shimmering blue iridescent. Spray it over grey, and it will look like the back of a lucky craft chart. shad

Thanks. I use a pashe(spelling). With lacuere paint and dick night clear. There is 10 colors on that one.
