    Applying D2t

I mix D2T by small batches, just to cover 5-6 heads (1-2oz) at once. Mix for 1.5 - 2 minutes with wood chopstick and it's ready to go. I use 1/4 size acid brushes to apply epoxy.
  6. X3 Another question: what brand of epoxy did you use ?

    Wire Spinners

Hi James, The best what you can do : use powder as a base layer. Paint the head, bake it, use the airbrush to add details. Buy Devcon 30 minut epoxy - clear coat the spinnerbait heads or jigs. Done. oh and iv noticed alot of air bubbles in my lead heads on my spinnerbaits It seems, you lead is too hard. You need to mix it with soft lead and it'll be fine.

    Bubbles In D2t

I usually mix small ammount of D2T, just enough to cover 5-6 heads 1, 1.5 or 2oz heads. The working time is really short before epoxy is started to set and it makes sence to work with small batches of D2T. I double coated my heads and first coat I let the epoxy set for 3-8 hours, then - second coat.

    Bubbles In D2t

Pete, After you jig were coated, wait 10-15 minutes and then just turn your source of heat (heat gun, in my case at 400F) on and run hot air around the jig head for a couple sec. All bubles will be gone in no time. One more thing: I warm the heads a little bit before apply epoxy on them.

    Swivels

I used Eagle Claw ball bearings swivels with solid rings on musky/pike spinnerbaits (size #3 &4, made in Korea) and they were not bad. For smaller spinnerbaits I think the best choice is Worth ball bearing sviwels. Pricey too. Around 62-70$ per 100pcs, but the quality is really great. LPO has them in stock: http://lurepartsonli...it-Swivels.html

  15. I really like Herbie's Magic Dust. Thanks to Ted again and again for priceless advices. I just brush it on top of the main color/colors and it really makes a difference. Below is the sample of green, red and gold dust glitter.
  16. Same, as Cadman. One at a time. Easier and faster when you get use to it.
  17. Jig Man May i ask what kind of lead do you use ?
  18. Hi ING, I afraid nobody can give you non-mixing guarantee, as well as straight recipes for multicolor powder painting. In your case maybe this video from TJ gives you an idea:
  19. I've never heard of stainless sleeves either. If you are looking for corrosion resistant sleeves , I'd suggest to take a look on aluminum alloy sleeves, such as Jinkai. Jinkai sleeves
  20. Hey Mick, You can take a look on Eagle Claw 254 Muskie Trailer hook. The sizes up to 8/0 with large eye Eagle Claw 254
  21. Danny Pardon me, but I don't understand why do you need to bend the spoon after it was painted ? Special procedure or ????????????? Just curious

    Mixing Paint?

You can definitely try to mix powders. It usually works fine even with different manufacturers products.
