  1. Fatman, The bottom part is painted by smoke textured powder ( I don't know who is the manufacture) with Pro-Tec silver glitter on top. Silver vein on the sides and mirror black on the top . I didn't use white base coat on this pattern. 2 coats of Devcon 30 min for protection ( it looks a lot better with epoxy )
  2. Here is Silver Vein ( powder - Columbia Coatings)examples:
  3. markw, You can order from Hagen's any quantity, like JBlaze described above. They will charge also 10% tax, if you don't have Tax ID . Another option is Lakeland - great selection & quality of musky/pike blades. 0.17, 0.25 & 0.40 gauge are available. Same payment scheme, as Hagen's LakeLand You can also order them from Dick Moore. Give him a call and you'll be all set in a couple minutes. Very nice gentleman to deal with. Moore Hope it helps
  4. i assume this is something like Lumaflex ? Lumaflex
  5. Buggs Man, Unfortunately, the choice of round silicone is limited to only Starflash now , according to my research ( I wish, I'm wrong). Hydrosilk is no more available. I'd suggest to check Stamina, as well . They have couple colors which are not available from Netcraft and Barlow's. Stamina I'm not sure if you can buy Starflash skirts or material from manufacture (Kaiser Lure ): Kayser Hope it helps.
  6. Kingmfg, What kind of silicone ? Flat or round ? Any pictures ? Thank you
  7. Hey DRS, It seems, you are looking for saltwater flashabou. Hedron A lot of fly shops sell it. Last time I bought it from Ebay: Ebay store
  8. According to your description, it's, most likely, Original flashabou from Hedron 1/69" cut, if you check code number it 's most likely will be from 6901 to 6934. I'm pretty sure you have tangle issues because of it. As far as I know, Musky Mayhem use Magnum Flashabou which is 1/32 cut with combination of Dyed-Pearl on Double Cowgirl Hope it helps.
  9. Muskietom, What kind of flashabou did you use ? Did you make Double Cowgirl type of spinners ?
  10. It's bamboo chopstick from Chinese store . 99c for 20pc. I also use them to mix powders and epoxy.
  11. I do it this way. Not the best solution, but it works for me. I use artist brush to put powder on the blades.
  12. Lakeland for me. Lakeland 24K Gold finish is avesome. They have 0.18, 0.25 & 0.40 gauge blades. Plus, really good customer service. I tried Hagen's blades and have no complains , but LL is better. Even after 10% + 1$( if you order less then minimum qty) per each line in your order , the final price is still cheaper then from Stamina or Barlow's
  13. Zack, You can check jewelry supply stores.
  14. Cadman note for your next post showing the wire you need to use a plain unpainted lead head. I keep looking at the paint job and not the wire! That is absolutely true
  15. It could be anything. I'd say we need to take a look on a picture of that spinnerbait.
  16. 3.5 blade should be installed face down to the head. Picture will help.
  17. Thad, You need 2 molds to cover your weight range: Do-it Molds: Bullet Spinner Jig
  18. All the best, Nathan!!!

    Wire Formers

I believe, couple years ago Bogg's offered Magnum version of wire bender which worked with longer wires. I was smart enough and bought Hagen's and regular Bogg's. I used Bogg's for smaller (Mepp's like) inline spinners. Modified Hagen's ( now accepts 0.62) for "heavy metal". It took some time and wire to learn how to make good loops with 0.62. Both are great tools and it's really cool to have them Regards, PSV
  21. Ron, You can find them in Lake Land catalog under MUSKY & PIKE LURE SPINNER BLADES MAGNUM WILLOWLEAF section (page 143).
  22. triplextackle 150 C = 302F 200C = 392F I usually bake at 350 for 20 minutes and never have any problems.
  23. I bought powders and glitters from his webstore. I've never seen his powders anywhere else. HerbiesMagicDust.com, Helping Fisherman Everywhere!
  24. I don't like Pro-Tec glitter either. I tried 5 or 6 colors and wasn't impressed at all. Herbie's dust is a lot better in my opinion. I don't mix it, just apply it on top of main color
