  1. You can use larger grain salt, like table salt, to get a little more transparency
  2. Look up angling a.i. Best twin tail grub I have found AND best skirt mold too!
  3. Just posted on ebay, if anyone is interested. great mold, i just dont need it now. i had a custom craw bait made. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251016286259 Nem
  4. Does anyone know if these are available in bulk. I seen that they come in a 25 pack but am wondering if there is a way to get them 1000 at a time for a little less scratch. Any help would be appreciated. Nem:popcorn:

  6. Hey Guys, I bought a couple tru tungsten jigs a few years back. I didnt like the head design but really liked the skirt so i unwrapped them and used a collar to attatch them to a custom head. The skirt was a round rubber skirt and was black with blue flake in it. I just lost my last one the other night and have been searching online for the last couple days trying to find a place that sells them. So far, i have found about 101 places that sell plain black round rubber, but no one who sells black with blue flake round rubber. Anyone know where i can get this, or is there a proccess for just taking plain black and using a spray adhesive to stick the flake to it? I figured if anyone would know, it would be all you skirt pros. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks gang, Nem:drool:
  7. TNBasser, These are stock molds he already has in his inventory. Just a matter of pulling them and shipping them. I asked him how things were looking and he told me the same, he is swamped with customs til April. Nem:yeah:
  8. I got ahold of him. He said he is super swamped but should be able to take care of me. Gotta love it. Reason i asked here was becuase i know some of you guys know him pretty good and i didnt want to fill up his voicemail if he was on vacation or sick ( as mentioned ). Thanks for the help tho guys. Nem;)
  9. Thanks guys, I will keep trying him. Nem:huh:
  10. Anyone know whats up with ol' BOB? Been trying to get ahold of him for the past 2 weeks and cant reach him? Anyone talk to him lately? I am in desperate need of some molds. Nem:yeah:
  11. I dont monitor my temp. I just heat it up until it looks good and then turn it down a notch. Over time my hot plate has fallen off a bit so i keep little marks with a pen on it but its by no means a 'system'. Meat thermometer work? Nem:drool:
  12. Upper Hand Scents Coffee Shad. Just bought some bout 3 weeks ago. Lovin in so far. I do have a question tho. I cant tell if when i am using the Coffee Shad if it is actually changing the color of my bait or if i am just cooking it too long. I started out with a medium smoke with some different flakes and the first 6 poured great, but then they started getting darker from there until they ended up with a greenish tint. Anyone? Oh, for the Coffee Scent go to www.gobassin.com Nem:flame:

    Salt

Im definatly not scourching. That happened alot when i first started. I was just wondering if that little bit of off color tint is normal when using salt. I am using the pot/heat plate method. Is there maybe a different kind of salt that some of you guys use that doesnt effect the clarity as much??? Thanks, Nemesi$

    Salt

I am using salt to pour sticks ( obviously ) and other baits, and was wondering if the off color my plastic turns once it cooks, and before i add colorants, is due to the salt. I dont know how to describe the color really, its almost like a clearish yellowish brownish...............ish. Is that from the salt? I am using salt from Del. And if this is, is it better to add salt after the plastic cooks. I have read of guys doing this, but the couple times i tried it, it was air bubble mania. Oh, the light tint my plastic turns once cooked doesnt seem to effect any of the colors i am doing now, but i wanted to do a clearish laminate bottom with some flake, but want it to actually be clear. Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but i cant ever find the time to do a search. the only computer access i have is at work and i only get about 5 minutes a day of free time use on it. 15. Hey guys, First time poster, long time lurker. Just curious why it is so important to 'get legal'. I am getting ready to start my own bait co. I am in Michigan and do hand poured gobies, and some other stuff like stick baits, jig trailers, creatures, and shakey worms. But my real money is in the gobies. I was recently contacted by a large distributor who wants to order 6400 baits off me to distribute into local tackle stores. Apparently he got ahold of my baits from a pro who was using them in the FLW tournament we had here recently on the Detroit River/Lake Erie. So i got to thinking, i better 'get legal'. I called my personal accountant and she got to work looking into it. But she called me back and said the only thing i had to do was register my name so no one else could market under it but me. She also said that since i am not providing a service, i do not need to do anything with taxes. Help me out. i want to make sure i am covered but i dont know anything about it. I tried reading on a website about it, but its like the wrote it in a different language. Im not a simpleton, i just dont translate all the legal mumbo jumbo real well. When you say 'get legal', what exactly do you mean? Thanks in advance! NemesiS himself:drool:
