The posted problem has been resolved . From what I understand  the problem is related to a broken thermometer .

I don't think I've ever sent a mold out that was un-vented  . I recall you buying a hand pour a few years back but I don't recall you buying the injection curly tad

Bought one on ebay, never said I purchased it from you,ya got that hand pour from you and had to figure out how to get it to work, the one off ebay I had to modify with venting,a lot of molds need to be modified, not just yours,as a lure manufacturer I dont expect all mold makers to get this stuff right, after all Im the one pouring and injecting thousands of lures with different plastisols and different heat ranges,I do what I need to to get them to work for me

  3. Ive got that mold and its not vented at all,I even contacted him and he had no answer so I hand poured the mold then flipped it upside down,I have another tadpole mole from him and it also has noventing, ended up injecting it,topping it off then turning that one upside down also,it works, dont like doing it,I suppose I could try cutting some vents in it

  4. Quick note there are no 3d lure eyes either made in America or in china that will stay on a bait without some kind of help be it glue or clear dipping period!!Don't believe it,though most the American made eyes are far superior for sure its just a small matter of time before they fall off also,I have used super glue, the cheap stuff and it worked fine,we dip ours in clear plastic

  5. Not trying to start a plastic war by no means,I use Lurecraft ,I use the 500 salt water,i have found in my situation and that's a key word here my situation,All lure makers have several varaibles in how they pour and make theire baits,i use 4 1000 watt mics to make our lures and I have tried all plastisold,I mean all of them and the lurecraft 500 is the only one in my situation that will not yellow and is the most consistant bucket after bucket,it hard packs so I must spend an extra 30 seconds to stir it,no big deal,it is filled with heat stabilizer and all the good stuff that is lacking in most Ive tried,if you want a tough plastic that wont yellow than this is it,treid some of lurecrafts other plastics with mixed results, bottom line is get lots of samples and try everything you can, only then will you really know what works best for you!!

  6. Just want to comment on this post,I have purchased  a lot of molds from mold manufacturer, some commercial molds and some private custom molds,ANlmost every mold I have purchased took some trial and error in pouring a complete perfect bait, mold making is not an exact science, that being said a mold maker is not a lure maker,we are 2 different animals, mold makers in all due respect do not come close to pouring  the number of baits that the lure maker pours,And that being said not sure even if the mold maker could pour some of his or hers creation without defects, all the molds Ive purchased needed to be tweaked one way or the other, the mold maker does not have a clue how to make them work for your plastic, heating device etc,Hope this came acrossed the right way,do not want to offend anyone, every mold is different and there are so many variables with plastic and heating devices,SO I THINK WHAT IM SAYINGB IS ITS UP TO YOU LURE MAKERS TO MAKE THEM WORK,POUR POUR AND POUR SOME MORE,THATS THE WAY I LEARNED T GET THEM RIGHT!!!lol

  8. Having a problem contacting the hookset.com site,I can go to the site but cant go to the cart or account pages, have emailed them for the last 2 months with no responce, just wondering since they are a sponsor does anyone have any info is the site just having problems or have they folded up?

  9. Just wanted to throw this one out there,I use lurecraft plastic and have for the last 10 years, reasons why,I have tried every plastic that is out there and I mean everything, lure craft 60/40 mix works for me as well as the salt water ,I have 5 1000 watt mics going almost everyday and they are set on high, thats it,put in the plastic and go,no stirring inbetween, lurecraft is the only plastic out of all of these that does not yellow or buble under my conditions, everyone one of the others and I do mean everyone of them bubbled and yellowed under my conditions,so it does all depend on how we use the plastic also,I just find lurecraft plastic has more or a better heat stabilizer,i can reheat many many times under these conditions

  10. Try this, with cap tight turn them upside down on the cap for a week and they will start to release, do this over and over until you see results. Then you may be able to shake them manually. Are they pints, quarts or what size? A 2 ounce will work the same way. If they are totally dried out then cut the top off use as a paste.

This will take forever,do the microwave thing,it will be good as new in under 10 minutes, done it several times
