  1. Thanks mark, yes ,many many hours but I love it! Hand pours are getting some respect,Ive been contacted by a few more mags,we also had a feature in a japan bass mag,Its all about having products that the big companies do not offer and finding that niche.
  2. Yes ,they did an article on using large worms for big bass and featured our 16 inch black mamba snake lure,it is very cool that we small hand poured companies are gaining respect,
  3. I have 10 12 13mm eyes on the site www.bogbaits.com
  4. I use lurecraft glow powder,I have used it on several thousand lures and its a fine product,as with any glow powder test the amount to get your desired effect, this stuff is a quality glow powder and price is very good ,!
  5. 1/4 inch is about 6mm,just a pinch over,the 6mm eyes should fit well!
  6. What is the problem with the end result? On wood lures depending on the size of the eye and also depening on what you are using for clearcoat,if using epoxy you just need to stick the eye in place and press it firmly for a few seconds,if the glue on the eye is weak you can press the eye in position and then take a tooth pick with some super glue and dab it on the eye edges, this works well to hold it until you clear coat it either with spray clear or brush on,or if you prefer ad a larger drop of glue over the whole eye once it is in place,it will run all the way around and glue in firmly the lure, try a few test on the glue and the paint to make sure they are compatible, just some trial and error involved.
  7. This one was an office trailer so there was no bath or toilets or water but it has heat ,a/c,all the lighting I need and if I decide to get a cot in the near future the wife wont be seeing too much of me:lol:
  8. This is my 12 x60 trailer I bought for a shop,totally mobile,storage room on each end,pouring station,jig making center,spinner bait center,tons of storage,i even have a music studio on one end,
  9. I wipe all I can with a paper towel than go over it with laquer thinner,I wipe it all down with the thinner than go over it with a dry cloth,I dont let the thinner set on at all,has worked perfect for me with no problems,I like the thinner because it evaporates quickly and seems to take the vaseline off very quickly!
  10. The hooks measure 3 1/4 long, drop me an email at ben_frank@charter.net
  11. I have some large worm hooks,12/0 Picasso ISH Pro X Hooks, very thick and stout,I have usede them for muskies in the past!
  12. When you dip the head try to have the plastic as hot as you dare get it,the hotter it is the thinner it is until it brns, there is a fine line but I get mine very hot,the colder plastic dips thicker and shows the dip more.
  13. You are all correct, the eyes should be sealed asap, they do react with the oils in the plastic, they actually absorb it and come apart,I seal all my lures and have not had any problems or complaints, also have had some baits on hand for a long time with sealed eyes and they look as good as the day i sealed them.
  14. Get a hold of me,interested in a few items,john
  15. Id be interested in the new hook line, what do you have!!!
  16. All i have to say is awesome looking baits,
  17. hey riplip,I had the same problem but all you have to do is change the margin settings in the print preferences,It may take a few sheets until you get it all centered but well worth it then just save the setting and name it foer that label, john
  18. Get the bags from johnson bags,I have bought them from everyone and they are the same quality,if not a bit better,I get the 7x4 bag and are actually a bit bigger than most, exact same quality, they are a premium bag.
  19. I tried 5 gallons,It was too soft for my application, called ozarks and they sent me a free gallon of hardner, they stand behind their product, the customer service was excellent,it just was too soft for me.
  20. I guess we could all jump on the bandwagonbut lets be real,Theres not a day that goes by that we dont buy,use something made in another country If you dont believe it then your living in a make believe world,,Its the world we live in,In a way we are responsible for a lot of this ourselves, demanding high wages and pushing companies to manufacture for less to maximize their profits,a viscious cycle that had to end,i would love to see it all come back to america and I believe it will, but we will be the ones to pay for it in lower wages and lower class of living,to bash other countries is truly juvenile and childish, its no ones fault but our own greed that got us here like it or not !
  21. I just tried to purchase some hooks online at hookerztackle and they have went out of buisiness,Wow,I really liked the hooks and the service was outstanding, ill miss them.
