  1. and another.... http://www.floridasurffishing.net/forum/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=100&topic_id=551&mode=full I've used this knot for the past two years and have yet to break off. Maybe in part because I do more casting than catchin
  2. Thanks Vman. I'll try to work thru the paticulars before posting a question in an effort to work thru it. In the meantime, given what I've said thus far, what species of wood do you suggest I start with for a while. I've read on the positive and negatives on some, but wondered if the experienced would have a unanimous pick. Thanks in advance!
  3. For now, wooden cranks only. I read that the flat sided baits are easier to start out with, but I enjoy throwing lipped, round bodied cranks so that is what I am most interested in making.
  4. Wow, thanks for sharing. Inspiring to a newbie like me.
  5. That is without a doubt the best paint job I have seen yet. Where are the hooks?
  6. Well, I see that the site is being rebuilt, and I assume there were some tutorials prior to the change over, so I need some help. If anyone has a link or two to some tutorials, I would appreicate it. I have scoured the site and the internet, and have found very few step by step instruction on building a crankbait from scratch. Can some one steer me in the right direction???
  7. Glad to have found you. I have a feeling I will be fully engaged with making lures withing a few months from now, and I'm looking forward to it.
