  1. There is a company called Midland Plastic, but I don't know if they are down by you. Wayne
  2. DAVE First super great video. It seems to me that there was not that much difference with the different lips, there was some. The video from the top was the best view. Now I am not into swim baits but I think that using the right lip or changing ( type of lip) on them will have the most effect on a swim bait rather than a straight bait. Just my two cents. Still great information. I just have to build a test tank, I do have one the Menominee River in Northeast Wisconsin, But one in my basement would be super since the river is getting ready to freeze. I have been thinking of making a tank that I can remove the top which would double as a work bench, but that means I would have to keep the top clean which is hard for me. Wayne
  3. The foam is hard to get the same results with each lure, that's why I use the white resin with micro balloons and I get within 1 gram of the wood lure that I copied each time I pour, but your measurements must be right on, with just enough resin to come to top with out wasting it. That will take a little experimenting. In my case it was about 40 grams of resin and the same of the hardener with 15 grams of micro balloons, it took awhile, about 4 times to get it right but when I got it goes 1 2 3. Wayne
  4. I LIKE THE NEW LOOK!!!!!!!!! Great Job. Wayne
  5. I would not use the spray unless you have a commercial spray booth and proper mask, it works great on the lure but I don't have a good enough of a booth I will only use outside in the summer. End of that. Wayne
  6. I make a 7 1/2" lure out of resin with microballons and it works great Check out www.alumilite.com and they will have everything you need plus information on making molds along with videos. Save yourself some time and go here first. Wayne
  7. I think it would help if you tell us what kind of wood you will be making your lures out of. Wayne
  8. I just received my aerosol can of KBS Diamond, just tried it with one coat and it was better than dipping, how it holds is another story I am running out of time to test getting cold here in Northeast WI. It was costly with shipping, but now do I mix and spray, spraying I will need to upgrade my spray booth. Wayne
  9. KBE Diamond is now available in aerosol can Wayne
  10. Maybe WTP Inc. has what you are looking for. Wayne
  11. I just received a E-Mail from KBS and they now have it in a aerosol 15oz can special price $17.95 plus shipping. I will be ordering some this week, has anyone tried it it the aerosol can yet. Will let you know how it works when I get it. Wayne

  13. I am about to do about a 100 lures and I have used liquid mask in the past, I just find it easer than tape but I was only doing 5 lures at a time. Any thoughts from you guys. Thanks for any input. Wayne
  14. Does the valve get stuck after use, and after you create a vacumm will the MCU come out. Wayne
  15. I would give the mold and pour your own a try, I went from wood to plastic with micro balloons and the weight is right on once you get the formula set. I don't know what lure you are talking about but if you could post a picture it would help everyone out with a answer. Wayne
  16. Thanks Bob P. And everyone else.
  17. How many coats do you put on, one seems good to me or will it soften the undercoating. Wayne
  18. These are plastic lures and finished with createx paint, I do rotate them but will let them hang. I do like KBS because of how the lips come out. I'll try hanging, or holding the lure in a different way hanging. Thanks Wayne
  19. I like this for my small bass lures but I can't seem to get rid of the little bubbles, I serched but can't find anything about the bubbles other than its a problem. I was going to try hitting the lure with a airbrush after dipping to get rid of the bubbles. They seem to come up over night. If anyone has done this before, otherwise I will try it later today. Wayne
  20. I will just get a small amount to test I just pour resin, what the heck and any left over I can fix that dam gutter. Wayne
  21. Well I guess its up to me, will let you know when I get some.
  22. One thing to consider is when making a mold with the slot for the lip, is that you can't change the angle, I would wait till you are really sure that is the angle you want on the lure, then go ahead and try it but for myself I cut the slot after the lure is done, that way I can have more control of the depth of the lure with one mold. Wayne
  23. I would just type in making silicone molds on you tube and there are many too choose from. Making many lures at a time say there or four I think would be hard, I would just make one good one. Pay special attention to the parting line that is where, if not done right, then you will end up with lots of sanding. I made some 7.5 inch lures and I used all of oomoo silicone 30 That's 30.00 a mold. I used alumilite easy cast with microballoons, I was 1 gram off of my wood mold sample. It took three time to get the formula right but it is right on now. Good Luck Wayne
  24. Has anyone ever tried FLEX SEAL rubber as a mold for pouring lures. I use the silicone but just wondering about this Flex Seal. Wayne
