  3. Why not popular which you can get at any Menards or Lowes or Home Depot. I would also just ask them if they can get you what you want most likely 8' long, or check any mill in the area out. Of course theres always PVC. Wayne
  4. I use E-Tex and I hang it by the bill, also I make musky lures which I put two coats on, Must have rounded edges and after brushing I use a heat gun to get rid of bubbles and smooth out. I also put a screw in the tail to drip away the excess epoxy from the tail. Wayne
  5. I got some mesh from my pizza box, they put it on the bottom. But no matter what you find to make scales it still takes talent, I seen his work on ebay GREAT LURES. Wayne
  6. I use the auto window wash reduced 50% or 1/2 & 1/2 water mixed, just make sure its the one you buy in the summer the one that is above 32 degrees, its seems to be just like windex in fact my wife fills up her bottle of it for doing windows around the house. Wayne
  7. Thanks I'll have to look into this I hope it will hold up on musky lures. Wayne
  8. What about smell do you have to ventilate. which I believe you do, or wear a mask. It sounds like less waste than e-tex. Wayne
  9. Maybe thats what I saw Thanks Wayne
  10. The site I saw was 30" lengths just can't remember where. Wayne
  11. I can't seem to find a place that was on this site for flashabou it was in I think 30" lengths. Does anyone know where to get. Wayne
  12. Just two questions? Do you find silicone skirts to hold up better than buck tails. Also mixing flashabou in with the silicone would tie it or just slip it on. This is on 8" and 10" bucktails. Wayne
  13. Thanks Guys I changed the way I cut the cedar, it made a big difference I only had a few to throw away. Plus the extra smaller ones in length I save for another lure. Your right stay away from the knots, less work. Ravenlures. Wayne
  14. How do you deal with small surface knots in white cedar, plus how big do you go with them. I have took some and (small ones) bored them out with dremel tool and filled with filler. I keep them for myself or give them away. Try to sell only the clear ones or at least 95% clear. You can have a good piece of wood until you turn it down, and there they are, small but they piss me off. Wayne
  15. I use cedar and like Sonoman I dip my lures in the same sanding sealer 3 times, #1 its cheaper than any epoxy out there. #2 leaves a nice smooth finish ready for a light scuff and prime. Dipped all in one day dries over night and ready to go. Gallon for 37 bucks at menards. Wayne
  16. I would suggest that whoever you chose stick with that company, instead of going from one to another, in the long run you might pay a little more on the product on some and less their others. Once they understand your needs they will be very helpfull. Just my two cents. Wayne
  17. It seems that I get this 0 warning post when I post I don't seem to see anyone else with it, so why me I don't like it please remove. ravenlures Wayne Prange
  18. I don't do many spoons, was just wondering what it was. When I do spoons I get pre-painted white and paint what I want too and clear coat. Wayne

  20. I make a 8" lure with 2" lip made of cedar. It will go down to 27' at 3.5 mph with 100' of line out and no blow out at 10mph. I use a 15 degree angle and I tried 9 but it almost pulled the pole out. Depends where you put the line tie will give you different debths. Hope this helps. Wayne
  21. Thanks Nedyarb I bet a gallon goes a long way, like forever. I would put it in small jars and bloxgen it, just for a long time before I use. Thanks Wayne
  22. Yes Spinner blades. Also spoons and related types. Thanks Wayne
  23. I think everyone should take a breather and keep cool. All the information is great from all sides. I had a small part time printing buesiness for 30 years, yes 30 now looking back I should have made the big move or get out, I chose to stay, I had a good job with benifits. Now I want to start up a small musky lure business crazy but when you hit 70 you can do crazy things, my grandson wants to get into this, but his collage comes first, he has the passion for fishing. Just my 2 cents. Wayne
  24. How long before you can take out the lures and start another batch. And what size can you go up to. Great video and lures. Thanks Wayne
