  1. A couple of corrections MT and Jim The 5 cavity stik bait mold laminates great using the 2 color injector. And it does it with consistency and does not create coold joints.Tips are far better in the injection molds for the simple reason they bond so much better than they do in hand pour molds. The only time the 2 color laminates do not work well is in the larger cavity molds like the 8" Stiks o10" Stiks r the Beast and Big Frogs and such. Having so much cavity space allows the plastic to mix more in those. Jim you do know your hand pours but you are laking in knowledge in what the injectors can and do produce. As far as the cost well I guess that depends on if you are wanting to make good baoits on about 99% of the ones you make or remelt them and try again. Other than the initial injector cost the injection molds per cavity are cheaper and faster than any of the 2 piece hand pour molds. I am aware that you are a die hard hand pour guy but just to inform you of something, before deturing everyone from our methods maybe you should actually try them and see the results for your self before turning everyone away from our products. I do not think it is fair for you to keep steering people away from our products when you have never even tried them.......You may be an expert at hand pour stuff but you are lacking a lot of knowledge in what we offer.
  2. We tried getting our labels printed. It is very expensive for us. We have so many different products in different sizes that we decided on the laser printer. The one we went with is the Color Laser Printer by Samsung model 315 W. This printer sells for under 200.00 . The toner cartridges which is where your expense for this model printer sells for 49.00 each. Check the prices of other brand toners. That is why we went with the Samsung. We can get over 1500 full color pages from the toners if I remember correctly it was more like 1700 pages on the 1st set. The print quality is great and they labels seem to hold up well. You can find deals on the print stock if you look around. The weatherproff ones did not do any better then the standard ones for us. When you are looking at Laser printers do your self a favor and check the price of the toners before you commit. I think you will be like I was and get Shocked that you have to buy 600.00 worth of toners for a 150.00 printer.
  3. Yes just bought pallet of them. They are 1" smaller in diameter. And they are deeper. Same thermostat. You have to bolt the legs on. Will have to change motor mounts, Paddle Diameter and shaft length. Other than that they are fine.
  4. I think a lot of guys wipe it down with vinegar if I remember correctly. That will dull the finish.
  5. Guys if you currently use the presto pots and have a need to change out your pot because of sticking you may want to buy them now. The new design is smaller in diameter and you will have to modify everything to fit. There is still some of the stores with the old pots in stock. The new ones do not come with handles and feet are not attached , Just a heads up
  6. I would suggest you buy the items that you fish with now. Watermelon, Junebug , Black, White, Just colors that you would pickup if you bought them in a store premade. Glitters the same way. Buy what you think you will use. We have a color chart on or website to allow you to see what the colors will look like. Depending on what you are planning on making the baits that you want the most action out of like works and such use soft compound. If you pouring swimbaits or frogs and such use medium saltwater baits use a hard compound. If you need any help shoot me an e-mail. bear@bearsbaits.com
  7. Thank you for your support guys. You guys are why we are able to continue this business and we will never forget that.
  8. I do not know what a pie mold looks like but if you would be willing to post a picture of it I can let you know if our 2 color injectors would work on them or not. We can do laminate worms ,brush bugs, beavers, stiks and others.
  9. The Soft works fine for the flukes Joe but.............MF is good plastic and If I could buy it there that is what I would do unless the price is more expensive than what ours would be including shipping. Shipping on plastic over there is terrible.
  10. The most important thing Paul is you want a glitter that can withstand high heat.If not it will curl up melt or just turn colors on you. Most Craft glitter is not designed to withstand the heat. And the second thing is most people does not like using metal glitter in the microwave.
  11. We will be carrying Chemionics plastic in about 2 weeks. They have gotten a formula that I was highly impressed with. We finished our deal today.
  12. Plasticpaul on our MSDS Sheets it states: Chemical Name :Polyvinyl Chloride Dispersion Plastisol
  13. If you are talking about your color recipes they should be fine. The texture will more than likely be a little different.
  14. Yes sir using a 2 color injector. one shot both colors.

  16. Thanks Al. That is our red shad red with red hilite and then the other is black
  17. B&D I have had great success with using the hand injector when doing the laminates. The one thing about them no timing to worry about getting cold joints and it is very consistent.
