  1. The Way I did these was to pour you some baits in your spare time that are only about 2 " long just pour a little into each cavity. Then cut each tip to length at about a 45 degree angle on each side forming a point.Stored them in a zip lock bag until I was ready to pour the sticks. Then when you get ready to pour your baits put these back into mold and pour the bait it will hold fairly well and your tips would be uniform.
  2. MT I really thought they would be a Pain to use when I was told about them but I have been having a Blast fooling with them. The Single cavity molds are faster than Lightning and the injector is fairly easy to use. And It will not bust in your hand.

  7. You can probably make the pots for about the price or maybe a few dollars less than we sell the pots complete . We have now sold over 100 of these and I could be wrong but I do not think we have had one complaint. The Valve we now use has helped the pots performance greatly. Simple things we have learned while using them and building them has taught us a great deal and at this moment I feel we have the presto pot as efficient as we can make it. The paddle works great along with motor speed and all the components we use. If Money was no Object I would buy the complete Unit.
  8. If you are pouring that much plastic then the presto pot would be a lot easier than the microwave. They will hold 6 quarts but I would not recommend using more than 5 at a time as with the stirring motor turning it is likely to slosh out of the pot a little. they will pour extremely fast with valve open all th way but you can get a small stream with it also to pour small appendages. They are not that hard to build and I will help you any way I can with them.
  9. Wildtail In my opinion regardless of how I melted it I would stir it some. If you have glitter or other additives in it you will have to stir it to keep everything suspended. Bear
  10. Depending on the plastic and your personal preference as to how thin you want to pour it. sees most use 350 degrees and if you have infrared Thermometer the dial on the Presto Pot will not be exact most of the time. Let me know if you have any questions with it. Leave the stirring motor ON from time you start until you finish that way it does not scorch on you at all. Bear
  11. Great . Let us know how it works out for you. Bear
  12. The Presto Pot for the money is a great tool. we recommend using about 2 to 3 quarts max in the pots. That seems to be the most efficent amount to pour at a time. With 2 of the pots working and if you have enough molds 1 man can pour 400 plus baits an hour. For the money and ease of use the Presto Pot can not be beat. If you have questions or need help building one let me know Bear
  13. I think I would chose A as well. Nice looking bait.
  14. We do the same thing with some of our RTV molds. Carving masters is very time consuming. We designed a basic body we are using for 5 of our molds . Changing claws adding feet and such is much easier and gives the bait a whole new life.
  15. I just shipped 5 gallons to France it was 226.00 USD for shipping. Took 4 trips to post office to get all the paper work right . Big Big Hassle. hope that helps
  16. That would be correct if you are tapping with 3/8" NPT Tap. Let me know if I can help you. Bear
  17. The Candle melting pots will be more trouble than they are worth. The valve is to far away from the heating element. They will stop up.You would be better off just making your own. Pots are like 25.00 at wall mart then you need a 3/8 tap and a drill bit for it. If anyone needs help Let me know.
  18. I guess that is why I do not use ebay. It would bother me for people to pay for a used product more than they can buy new.
  19. Maybe for candle making it does. Does not work for plastics.
  20. Let me know Pigdestroyer. Your Order shows to be delivered today. Let me know how it works out for you.
  21. Yes the plastic floats . The action on the baits I think will be to your liking.
