I have never seen the fry daddy with thermostat. Are you sure it is not the Presto pot? Regardless if it has a thermostat to allow you to control the temperature i would say it would work. Send us a picture of it I would like to see it. One thing to keep in mind when using a pot,you must keep your plastic stirred if not it will scorch just sitting on the heating element. drof did you make sure your plastic was mixed well? Are you getting to the bottom of your container?

I wish Mike LOL Comes from not being able to stand on two feet holding a 60 Lb band saw. Feet went out from under me and saw landed on right hand crushing and almost taking off 2 fingers. they are going to do some nerve and tendon grafs to try to get them working again. Thanks for Kind Words Bear

SpinKing yes you can melt down old plastic . Word of caution make sure what you are melting has NO (0) Water in them. If these are used baits you are talking about there is a chance there is water in them. When water is in the plastic it will cause the plastic to boil over and cause severe burns. Yes it is doable but you must be careful. Be careful and let me know if we can help you.

Guys I think you will find as Vodkaman pointed out that your plastic needs more heat. I use Calhoun s as you all know and I have crystal clear baits. I purchased an Infrared Thermometer and Sense I did it has told me that when I have bubbles I have cold plastic. I have found that it needs to be above 335 degrees to get the bubbles to disappear. It has nothing to do with Calhoun Plastic but us as the users. I have customers that use to say same thing but now they are using Calhoun and love it.

The pearls actually mix with the color to give you a pearl like finish on and in your baits. The Hi-Lites for lack of a better term puts a kind of neat looking sheen to the outside of your baits.Blue, Red, Green, Blue Violet, or Gold is what colors we have. It is a pretty neat effect and really changes the reflective finish of the Bait.

Good Job Dude. Get them in the water and when you catch your first fish on them you will feel a sense of accomplishment second to none. They look great and I like the color. The Craw looks like it would make a mean flipping baits down here in South Louisiana! Good Job and keep up the good work.Let us know how they work.

Adam with the Calhoun Soft formula I do not use any hardener in my mix. Make sure it was shook up well. Was they to soft or were they Sticky? If they were Sticky your plastic needs to be mixed better.

Jim I also tried the Modge Podge and had the same results. I found that the elmers glue and water method made my molds have a lot more Gloss than with the Modge Podge. I was using the High Gloss Modge Podge also and it was no better .

Dave Making the divided pot is not the issue. That I can do. The problem lies in the expense of two stirring systems. Also you would not be able to only use 1 side f the pot at a time because you would burn the empty cavity up with nothing for it to heat. Now you are talking about having a 400.00 to 450.00 pot instead of a 200.00 pot. If this is something that would be useful to us and you think the price would justify the reward of having it set up that way, I will start working on one now. So guys if this is something that would interest any of you and I get enough feedback to build one that way I will make it happen over the next couple of days. So without Hijacking your post if there is any interest in this guys let me know and I will get started.
