  1. Kind of like Mark's thread about adding chartreuse to everything. It's "FM"
  2. Everyone has their preference. I get mine from Columbia Coatings. I also get their Super Mirror Black because it is light and flyaway.
  3. Seems like you have done everything there is to do to your apparatus. Try cutting the paint next, you will be surprised at the difference.
  4. No, I switched from white to pearl not mixed them. I mixed clear powder in my white to lighten it up (weight wise).
  5. We take all these precautions storing in original containers and putting the lids on tight, but we may be introducing some moisture through our air supply. I haven't used a fluid bed in a long time, but when I had trouble with white I cut it with clear powder. Sometimes a 50/50 mix. I have since switched to pearl white.
  6. Welcome to the fray, Try to find a non-bleed purple.
  7. I have added the Hi-Lite powder used in soft plastics to my epoxy and have had excellent results. It gives you the same shimmer in epoxy as it does in plastics.
  8. tell him you will give him a percentage off after you can verify what he's paying.
  9. Yeah, that's the one #3247
  10. That looks more like a slide-a-long jig by Do-It..
  11. Dale, the brush we use for powder is actually a hobby sand blaster by Badger. A lot of the component suppliers carry them now.
  12. Well MODS, when is this going to get fixed?
  13. You can also spray powder. You don't get the detail, but you can do some nice blends and fades.
  14. RSULLIVAN, I use the presto pots with mixers and remelt all my sprues. I demold and pour the next pass, then I cut sprues and throw them back in the pot. Next I lay the baits out and demold again. The sprues don't have to reach any certain temp. Heat stabilizer is not limited to microwave use, I use it anytime I'm making white, clear or any light colored bait. There was a member here that was making baits commercially and sold his here. I have also seen some on Ebay.
  15. I had some one time and the jigs wouldn't hold paint. I would just rub off.
  16. That's just what came to mind. I figured it would be too thick, but thought that it could be had a bit thinner.
  17. I have the BTS 6" Swimbait. I thow it on a leadhead I Make. http://www.btsmolds.com/swim-bait/653-swim-bait
  18. What always came to mind for me was the vinyl vertical blind looking things they use in cold storage warehouses. Don't know what they are actually called.
  19. Try Chuck Ruth cruth@calhounplastics.com
  20. Try putting in the plastic and turning on the mixer. Turn your heat on at about 200 on the dial. Then gradually turn the heat up till you reach 350 constantly checking the temp with some type of thermometer. You may bee applying too much heat too fast.
  21. I have some laminated worm bags if that is heavy enough.
  22. For most applications I use a #3 clevis and if you are getting Worth swivels and split rings separately, they recommend the 2 1/2 Nickeled Steel #92513.
