  1. I have mine made at Mustang Wire and he does a great job. In fact I still have some listed in the classifieds, page five.

  3. dchance, I said it could be done, I didn't say it would be easy or better than tieing . I quit usubg the bands early on because they rot off and slide down the hook shaft on hooksets. I tie with nylon upholstery thread and finish the knots with superglue gel.
  4. Your pen applicator will work. There are also various skirt tools on the market. Most of the usual suspects carry them.
  5. I had luck with a large tooth wood blade.
  6. The only thing I don't like about rubber is that it melts into a glob after awhile especially if you use scents.
  7. jigsisme, I use nylon upholstery thread and put a drop if superglue gel on the final knot. I do glue in the weedguards after tying.
  8. sticky, I use a 20 tray bun rack that I picked up at a local restaurant supply store.
  9. Try to make a pin out of some round stock to match the diameter of the line you want to use.
  10. BTS can upsize or downsize an existing mold without any problem. Just call them and tell them which mold you like and what size you need.
  11. Dave, You are correct. This also applies to lead. Even if you have visible water droplets in your pot when you turn it on, by the time the lead reaches the melting point the water has all steamed off.

  19. The Heavier Eagle Claw & Gamakatsu bronze hooks used in a brush jig hold up pretty well. They are good for flipping into heavy brush.
  20. Get the kids and or grand kids involved and bust their allowance. High school or college kids wanting a little extra spending cash for the summer.

  22. Didn't someone have a three piece mold that shot the body and the skirt at the same time?
  23. I have been using my new oven for several weeks now and the only thing I would change is give it a longer cord.
  24. What you described is about the best way, but I would trim it after the skirt was finished.
