  1. Roy, I use Calhoun Soft and it works very well. The A-Rig is what we make them for mostly. We sell it in a kit with a complete rig and three swimbaits. Then we have six packs of swimbaits seperate.
  2. Is this close to what you are looking for? I can't pour these things fast enough. http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/4swimbait.htm
  3. Cadman, Was this jig designed to be a stand-up jig? I thought it was for coming through brush and snags with a swimming action that's why the bottom isn't really flat.
  4. I found that this method works for me. These are +/_ a few drops. 1/4 TSP = 25 Drops 1/2 TSP = 50 Drops 3/4 TSP = 75 Drops 1 TSP = 100 drops
  5. This one looks like a good candidate. Here is a link. http://www.barlowstackle.com/Mustad-32786-BLN-Jig-Hook-P201C41.aspx
  6. Well flooding or no flooding I can see why that little one is sleeping so peacefully.
  7. Epoxy takes a long time to set up I let mine sit for 24 hours before handling the baits. If time isn't the issue take a look at your mixing ratio and your stirring thoroughness.
  8. Can't help you with longevity, I've only done about 20-30 with mine as I don't use it that often.
  9. jigsisme, The perfect replica mold is great for copying an existing jig. you can make multiple baits on one mold and the inserts are replaceable so you can make several molds with same frame.
  10. Mike, I use some of the Mustad straight shank worm hooks with the slices in the shank close to the eye with my lure body mold to make weighted hooks for tubes and grubs. The lead molds around slices in the shank and stays put. I don't know if that would work with your application, but if you don't care which way the hook eye lines uo it might be woth a try.
  11. Try the metal recyclers, they might sell you some.
  12. Just an off the wall thought, but is the scent made in worm oil or softener?
  13. The carrier (powder water) will evaporate off leaving the powder in a caked form. You can add more powder water and re-mix it. I remove the jar from the gun and cap it tightly then clean the gun with water
  14. Mark, I spray all my powder so I use the smaller .008 size. I can use the .015, but usually don't. Brown Is one of the worst colors to ad glitter to. I cut it 4 to one with clear and add lots of glitter. The brown becomes semi-transparent and a little lighter, but the glitter shows up better. I can add another coat to make it darker and the glitter still stands out because it is being re-applied with the new coat.
  15. Mark, After using it I beleive it is very close to Photo-flo, a wetting agent used in the developement of phtographs, but I am not sure. Haven't had a chance to try it out.
  16. I have four of the Badger guns used for powder. The powder water I spray with a cheap external mix siphon air brush. Not any good for fine details, but blends colors pretty well. I put all my colors on before I bake.
  17. David, I've only done that a couple times and it turned out OK. You can try powder water, it says to bake before using it to add another color.
  18. I do that all the time Mark. I have many paints set up that way, I even make my own junebug.
  19. David, The only removeable ones I've seen are from Dels, I had to replace one I lost and it was expensive. I kept better tabs on them after that.
  20. Here is a link, I would get the cloth type. The green plastic doesn't stick very well for this application. http://www.columbiacoatings.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=tape There are others.
  21. Glad you clarified that, begining to wonder.

    Heat Guns

I use the one from Harbor Freight it to has a flat bottom and vents on the sides. They are always on sale from $8.99 to $9.99.
  23. Rod, There has been alot of chatter on here about how dangerous the Jann's injectors are. Many have been burned with that thing. Do some searches here before you use it, it might save you some injury.
  24. Most paints even vinyl jig paint will react with the plastisol. I have found that the safe bets are powder or epoxy.
  25. Barlow's has a twin spin wire form that looks like it could be adaped to a Snagless Sally. Here is a link.
