  1. Maltrout, Could be that the jig is too small to get the desired effect. Try coating something bigger like a slab spoon or a large Colorado blade. Just a thought. TJ
  2. If you are using additives such as salt and glitter they may be settling into the top of the pour spot. Try fashioning an "L" shaped "Anti-Clogging Tool" out of a piece of spinnerbait wire and push it up into the pot through the spout and work it around a bit, this may help. Then always remember Stirr, Stirr Stirr... TJ
  3. Capt. Hook is a pretty good place to buy hooks. Sometimes if you don't see it on the site you can call and ask them about it. The only thing is their ship times are quite long, I think the website has 4-6 weeks. I ordered some hooks from them, a week later I ordered the same hook from Barlow's and got those in a few days and a couple of weeks later Capt. Hooks order arrived. Good product, good price, just don't be in a hurry. TJ

  5. You can get all the specs right from their site. Here is the link Lee Precision, Inc. Reloading Tools and Equipment: Lee Melters and Melter Accessories TJ
  6. Don't watch - BID!!!! TJ
  7. I have a Lee Pot, some molds and some rubber on there right now, but havn't sold anything on there in a long time. TJ
  8. I lost a pair of Bob's swimbait molds to the USPS. The flat rate envelope arrived empty with a note that basically said "We care and take great steps to prevent this, but s__t happens and we're sorry. I tried to follow up, but got caught up in the government maze. Unfortunatley I did not ask for insurance on the package. Like Reeves said, you just cant beat the price. So wrap them tight, re-enforce the package and by all means get insurance. H__l Yes, postal employees fish. With todays technology you would think that an organization as large as the USPS could backtrack a piece of mail and determine if an employee found a couple of shiny metal objects on the floor somewhere along the line. TJ
  9. I used to make some large versions like the roadrunner for a guy that put a 10" eel like worm and trolled then in the California Delta. TJ
  10. Drug testing is nothing, better hope they don't start psych testing with this hobby. TJ
  11. Do you mean a snag hook? Take a look at this one and see if it what you are talking about. TJ Guess it would help to include the link Barlows Tackle Shop: Browsing Snag Weight Mold
  12. I should start a shopping service for all the guys that can't find stuff or can't get it shipped to their part of the world. Think this would fly? TJ
  13. Steve, That bullet weight mold has the cavities in a line so you can use the same insert to make several weights at one time. If you modify this mold it will most likely damage the adjoining cavities. TJ
  14. Pete, are you goint to fly that thing yourself? TJ
  15. We use the Lure Body mold from Do-It Do-it Molds: Lure Body it has several sizes and with slight modification it will take most hooks. TJ
  16. Cool Del, I've been to Laughlin, but never got to fish. You're right about everything being right there. What kind of license would us California guys need? TJ
  17. I just shipped some RTV Rubber and an airbrush to Romania with no problems. Took a long time though. TJ
  18. Ryan, I think you may be right. I'm willing to drag my boat over there if they let me. Maybe someone from that area can do a little scouting. TJ
  19. Sorry, I was thinking of the Lee Production Pot, my bad. TJ
  20. Lure Buddy, I was advised by Do-It to try reducing the temp a bit and maybe slow down your pour volume. Hope this helps. TJ
  21. Javelin, The pot should have a two year warranty. If it is out of warranty, you can send it back to Lee with a check for half the retail cost and they will completely refurbish it and begin a new two year warranty. TJ
  22. LedHed, With all the excitement with contamination looks like fishing is going to be out. So maybe a couple days in Vegas it might just be. When is the ICAST show? TJ
  23. That lateral line might be a little harder, but I think you can do any of those with powder in candy colors. TJ
