  3. Are you topping off the mold right after injecting and keeping the gate full? This allows the mold to draw in plastic instead of air.
  4. That generally refers to the size of the hooks.
  5. I have used my hobby blaster with a 220 grit media to clean some molds in the past.

  10. Generally Hi-Lite gives your baits a sheen of the color you apply and your baits remain transparent. Pearl colors your baits and is more opaque.
  11. I could not find the sj-2-j on the site. It might be the same or a little different, but it is out of production.
  12. bribass, As many here do, I take the top off the drum and mix it with large mixer and a hand drill. When everything is mixed well I transfer the plastic to 5 gallon buckets. I is easier to handle this way and you only have to remix small the small buckets. I mix those with a small squirrel cage paint mixer and the same hand drill.
  13. Can't you take your clamp to a machine shop and have the end of the bolt redone? Send your drawing around and get some estimates.

  20. Guys, I think the horse is dead already.
  21. You can always ask the maker of the mold you already have to make you one in the desired size.
  22. Do-It currently has two blade bait molds. There is a third that is out of production, this old mold closely resembles the Silver Buddy. Once in a while one comes up on Ebay, but that is rare.
  23. In 55 gallon drums, My plastic is sold by the pound. I simply weigh the bait and do the math. With my presto pots I simply toss the sprues back in the pot and keep going. My pots are tilted forward so the plastic gravitates toward the valve. When injecting I simply stop the mixer and fill the injector right from the pot. On some occasions I fill a Pyrex cup from the valve and then fill the injector from that. Clean outs from the pot and any other bits are saved and used next time I run that color. Very little waste and I don't worry about re-heats. Two color sprues sometimes create a useful color or you can always go black.
