i was made an offer by one company, but they dont want to make anything official until the lures get copyrighted. the other company doesnt even want to talk until it gets copyrighted. so this apparently can be done, and is wanted...

i will soon be getting copyrights on a few of my newest lure designs. i am at the very beginning of this stage and will hopefully sign a contract with a lure company by the end of winter, for i have interest from a couple right now. i am curious if anyone has gone through this process before and what advice they might have to offer. i am taking this process slow and smart and a have a few people in the know helping now, but the more, the better. if personal information is wished to be shared, email me at r-thirtyacre@wiu.edu. if theres anywhere to look for more advice, this website is the place to do it. i really appreciate it! (and sorry, i cant be posting pics of these lures... not until after this whole process. i will say they are swimbaits tho)

i have the microballoons, just thought that that would make it float... and i dont want that.

i am working on a new lure... its a big crankbait body with a chatterbait style lip. the body is made of alumilite from a mold i made. it swims great with a lot of action. but my problem is that the thing is too heavy... i want it to still sink, but be lighter. how would i go about doing this?

If Putting A Lip On A Swimbait Is Cheating Then Someone Needs To Tell Matt Servant To Get Off The Roids!

i would bet that if you put a lip on it that it would swim great. i had this same problem with some old swimbaits of mine... they were made awesome, just not functional at all. i put a lip on them and they swam perfect. i know you said you didnt want a lip but its actually a pretty easy process and doesnt have to be precise in order for it to swim properly at a slow speed. so this is what i would recommend... let us all know how it works out for you!

again, looks amazing. im in the process of creating some what i hope to be sweet swimbaits. if they turn out anything like yours, i will be very happy. and i meant what i said in the gallery...

i am looking to make casts of fish blanks that taxidermists use for my new swimbaits. i want bluegill or shad bodies. does anyone know of where i can find these? or can someone point me in the right direction?
