List 1 A dedicated microwave,or a long time on the hot plate to prepaid the plastic. 2 salt water formula plastic, like Lurecraft #500 3 small wooden sticks for stirring, and to act as a heat sink while the plastic is prepared in the microwave, and while it is on the hot plate(buffet burner) 4 dyes, glitter, salt, scent 5 Pam spray, garlic if you can find,or regular 6 rods made of aluminum(preferred),steel, brass, copper 7 rod handles attached with JB WELD 8 Note the handles on the pans are screwed plus JB WELD 9 A tail splitter Did not get notes under each Pix so please free to ask questions concerning any of them and they will be gladly answered. JSC
  3. Bojon is the man with the info and his CD (which I have a copy) is in detail on how to do it ... He may be having a little health problems at this time or he would be responding ... Try E mailing him again. JSC
  4. Like U said ... "or dye it a darker color and use it for a different bait" I all most all ways make it Black .. Never noticed much adverse effect. JSC

    Bass Tubes

Pull a search as this has been brought up several times ... Get "Bojons" CD on making tubes. Hope this helps JSC

    Pop Molds

Ditto Nova .. If U time it right you can go from one end to the other with a fine line of plastic which builds a "Hump" but takes just a little more to keep out that last little depression Have Fun JSC
  7. FLUX Check out some of the old posts ..Several things and the answers are here ... I think there is a "Sticky" on this subject. Hope this helps My 2 cents worth JSC
  8. I stand corrected .... I was doing this one with out a lot of extra talk ... JSC
  9. "Get your product out there and make what you can as soon as possible. If the lure is very good, you maybe have a year before they have it on the market. Dave " DITTO Copyright the name ... get all the distribution you can and go far it ... you will have to stretch your pocket book as far as you can so that you can have the production capabilities ... advertisement and etc. Finance will be your gauge as to what you can do and it is still a "Throw of the Dice" JSC
  10. I don't want to sound "Gruffy" but if you have pulled a search you will come to this conclusion .... "What Ever Works For You" ... Got to try them all and draw your own conclusion .... JSC
  11. Thanx Jerry .. SPEED is much better JSC
  12. This FET is under the Dingle-Johnson Bill ... Suppose to be for the improvement of fishing Some times you might get a report of it being used ...( like all taxes .. who knows and that is an off subject matter .... ) If you are maken them just for your own use ... no tax on end product but you will pay the tax on applicable materials (spinners,, hooks & etc) File that 720 every quarter if you are selling them for what ever your Gross sales might be for that quarter. Sales tax is an entirely different matter and can be from City, County to State ... need to check that out as well ... Just 2 cents worh (with inflation not very much) JSC Sorry missed the above article which is dead on ..
  13. I have compared with other sites to test my computer.. connections & etc ... very apparent that when the change was made that the speed went in the ditch .. It was a little slow before but I guessed that was due to the size ... sometimes U can have to many bells & whistles .... Feel sure Jerry can get it fixed ... I am really spot checking on here now .. JSC
  14. Jerry ... It looks real Good .... Glad to see U got the Scroll Fxed and size adjusted BUT .... It Is So SLOW.................. JSC

    First Try

Looks Good .. We all have out ways of doing this .. I start at the head on this type pour and go back to tail then come back up the middle to "Rond" it off. You will find the way that works best for you ... remember the "out side" edges cool first .. so you can work down the middle for the "Rounding Off" for shrinkage. Hope that helps JSC

    Hooks

First let me say I do not know which hook they are presently using as some changes have been made to "Sally" The older and most accepted hook was a "Sproat" .. large Eye .. from Mustad .. Check out a 3366GL (Gold) .. Hildebrandt (I belive) gold plated it themselves as the weight had to be coated. Not sure of the wire shaft size but most any size will do .. which ever is the easiest for you to work with as it is a straight shaft. Weed Guard Size can be smaller. Here in the Panhandle of FL across into AL has all ways been a "Stand By" lure.. Lew Childre got Hiledbrandt to make it ... back when ... It was a take off from the Yellow Sally Weighted Fly Spinner combo and you used a Uncle Josh Frog ... which for years was all ways a part of the "Sally" fishing ... now Plastic Trailers are used with it. ... As a Jobber Salesman I had a couple of businesses that each year order a good many with a larger blade with out al of the "Stuff" on the shaft so that it could be run shallower and slower .... On my Avatar that it is a "Yellow Sally" in the basses mouth ... Don't use them as much as I did in the past but they are still a great lure ... a real "Tide Water" special for shallow weedy waters ... Sorry to get carried away but thought it might be of intrest to some of you younger guys. Hope That Helps JSC
  20. Guys for plastic protection use Powder Paint and or Epoxy. Hope that helps JSC
  21. They are still in business (Dolphin Sports .. Selling Hilts Molds) .. You can order on line or Watts Line Call ... You can get the catalog down load as a PDF .... All of the Hilts Molds I have pour great .. even one I modified for a larger hook. These are all POST 80's molds. I really like the Spinner bait molds .. the are poured at the rear of the head .. Sorry don't know about the dart head .. the ones I have are custom made production models from Ament who is no longer in operation. Wish he was still with us .. his production models were great. Hope this helps a little JSC
  22. With an open mold ... Pour Plastic then add the wtd hook & etc. then top this off if necessary. JSC
  23. I tried some super braid in an open mold ( 2 hook rig) and the braid melted .... used braided "Nylon" does OK. Just had this one time thing ... had done it years ago with nylon OK ... Mono is not as flexible as the Nylon braid ... sure was hopeing that the Super Braid would Work .... but no such luck. 2 cents worth JSC
