  8. "Your's looks to be a industrial strength rack. Uff-Da! UG " You have to have it a little stouter when you load it down with 1 oz or better jig heads ... a lot of 1/4 oz can get heavy in a hurry .. Really the material I had on hand is what I used .. in the old days using lacquer and dipping with "drilled Staicks" and 2 x 4 s helped me a little in getting up to speed and appreciate powder paint .. JSC
  9. Hi Here is one that I made out of some scrap stuff and threaded rods .. 1/8 or 1/4 is the best sizes. Hope that helps ( I use 2 while one is curing I am painting and racking another) JSC
  10. Got to pull a better search as there is a LOT of information on this subject ... UNLESS it got lost. JSC

    Helllllp!

Go To TJs Web site ... He has some excellent Videos on Powder Painting ... This will answer a lot of your questions ..... review each video .. JSC (dont have his URL handy)
  12. Thanx for the info but I think we have a big Safety Problem with using it. JSC
  13. I thought about the painting after I posted ... He did not paint the sinkers so that was not a problem but it might be when you are going to paint the casting ... all I have poured with this system was egg sinkers ( and not a whole lot of them maybe 20#). JSC
  14. Good info Thanx Guys As a side note on "Slicking Up" the pull rod ... I had a customer that poured all sizes of egg sinkers and he used a bar of Ivory Soap ... had it sitting next to his pot and would drag the pull rod thru the bar of soap before casting and it worked like a charm for that purpose. I have tried wax that I use for fluxing when making a few egg sinkers and it works as well. JSC

BJ I think You "nailed it" JSC
  16. I have fished it with the "Frog Hook" (generly the best way) molded in weighted weedless plain and with a Buzz Bait Blade ... works all ways and for different places. but all ways runs best with Flat Sid UP. JSC

Whopper Stopper Bayou-Boogie we all agree. The other is so much like the Origianl Big O (Wooden Model) not Cotton Cordels .... I am really drawing bland on this one. JSC
  18. Several things (most have been discussed) main ones that I have found are the size of the clevis and the wire shaft hole size not beeing large enough for the wire size, also in some cases "pinching" the ends of the clevis may help due to the spread being to large in conjuction with hole size and wire size ... Colorado Blades spin the best for the front spinner ... Honestly I have "boiled" it down for my use that a "Single Spin" really does a better job for ME .. My 2 cents worth JSC
  19. Great to hear Mike .. things can only get better for you. I would go 50 or more miles out of the way to miss Atlanta ... one exception .. go straight thru town on a Sunday AM ... last time it was a breeze but the traffic on the by pass was as heavy as ever. Good Luck JSC

  21. It will take on water ... as suggested you could dip with clear .. or .. heat the tip slightly to seal it. Now if you are going to fish it you are going to have to put a hook in it and now you have another "Leaker Spot" ... unless you run your hook thru the solid nose of the worm (Trailer style) so that it does not penetrate the cavity. Just some "Food" for thought JSC
  22. Sounds like your plastic got to hot. JSC
  23. Actualy if you "wire" a spinner harness to a jig head you get a spinner bait with a little extra action ... really good with a curly tail grub. JSC
  24. Just a thought about this subject. In regards to the "Music Wire" it will discolor but is in my opinion .. despite the discoloring which I find does not effect fish catching .. the vibration that you get from it is exceptional and I use it even lighter than .031 on 1/4 and 1/8 oz spinner baits. It is a "Finesse" wire and you do have to re bend but is well worth the extra effort on those tough days. Just my 2 cents JSC
  25. A weighted hook is a weighted hook and has many uses as LedHed has shown .... if you are going to make lures you gotta use your imagination. Have Fun (Good job as usual LH) JSC
