Fellows if you have not read this information given to us by Sagacious (read all the threads) Very complete and really informative. I thought I knew what fluxing was until I read the instructions Sagacious gave .... been only partialy doing it off and on for many years ... Thanks to this information it solved a lot of the lead problems ... Do the cleaning and Fluxing in a seperate pot if you are pouring from say a Lee pot (Flux in the Lee pot when needed .. Yes) ... My waste has gone to all most zip using this methord. Thanx Saga .. JSC

  7. Looks like a good idea but have to do some thinking on this one. Using the heat coils to keep it hot is a great idea. JSC
  8. Been scratching the head on this one ... trying to remember what we used to make this when it first came out ... Purple was in it and I have not seen that mentioned ... Manns Motor oil is the "Old Motor Oil" ... I belive if you added more purple to it it became STP and into the "Burple" color ... Still trying to remember. JSC
  9. Luck, Timing, Hard Work and Perserverance (spelling) ... Patents -- Design, Mechanical & etc ... take time & money ... and most of the time one little change is all it takes to get around it ... now registering the name is the only solid way to identify YOUR product in the world of lures .... one company with distribution all ready in place can wipe you out ... been there had it done to me ( I made a few mistakes as well) .... Its your shot ... GOOD LUCK JSC
  10. Looks good .. I think you may have "planted" some ideas with that design. Thanx JSC

  15. If a soft plastic tail is being "Nipped Off" in my area it is warmouth, bluegill and etc .... We have a lot of "Jack Fish" (Eastern Chain Pickerel) and they are bad at short striking ... Now if you are seeing them strike ... that is a different story and what has been said would apply ... mainly adding a trailer hook (which I do not like to do).. My More to think about. JSC
  16. Sounds like you may be in a cold place .. plastic gets that way when real cold. Let us know if that is not it. JSC

  21. Just a note on crane swivels. This is a type of swivels not a name brand. They were used along with brass barrel swivels on spinner baits for many years before ball bearing swivels were ever used .. Brass Barrel is the last that I would use. JSC
  22. "i just looked at that mold. bet i could pour that with one hand and holding a video camera in the other hand. looks easy to pour." Dave any one that can pour with one hand and run a video camera at the same time with the other hand could proberly pour it with their eyes closed ...... Have A Good One JSC
