  1. That's great to hear!!!! Glad things are going good for you. Every customer I have sent the new baits with coffee and anise to love it also. Keep up the great work!
  2. Yep... that's what I meant. Didn't have my liquid rocket fuel when I typed the post before!
  3. I looked again and that is the dirty sanchez from the double wide beaver. The regular 4.2 and 3.5 in one looks like the pic I posted. Either tackleunderground got one of the pics wrong or Reaction Innovations changed the formula. Good find Dubs.
  4. I'm game. Count me in. I like the idea of posting a picture. That way we can see what other manufacturers colorants can do also.
  5. Here is a better picture of it off of tacklewarehouse.com I take back what I said about the green hilite now.
  6. I could be over simplifying it but it looks like a green pumpkin / greenpumpkin with green hitlite swirl.
  7. I have had the same issue before too. Just need to make sure you shake the heck out of it before using it. Some people use a drill with an attachment to make sure it is really stirred well.
  8. Have you changed anything lately? Plastic type, salt, hardener, softener, scent? Are you making sure your plastic is shaken up enough? Just some thoughts.

    more stick colors

Now them are nice! I especially like the green pumpkin / white and the black and smoke.

    first swirl attempt

That's a nice sherbert type color. Great work!
  11. Every order I've had with Bear has gone out next day and I get an email with the tracking number the minute the driver scans it. Always there to offer a tip if need be. Prices are very competitive too! He's a top notch guy!
  12. I use Uppperhand Scent Coffe & Anise and I use a lot more than a drop or two also. I use probably a full teaspoon per 4 oz of plastic while pouring and then a drop per bait when I shake them up before packaging them.
  13. I put it in right before I pour and then again when I package them up. I measure out the amount I put in because he scent I use throws the colors off a little but it is a great scent!!!

    anise

Truly amazing stuff over at Upperhand Scents! I mean it. Great to work with too! For sure you don't want to try the Coffee & Anise... It's horrible. I mean I don't know why anyone would want to try it. Okay... I can't take. I have some of the Anise and Coffee and it totally rocks!!!!!!!!
  15. That is a great pic Longhorn. Good job!
  16. I picked mine up at Home Depot. If you read the MSDS sheet for the plastic it will tell you what type of respirator is needed. *At least it says it on Calhoun's MSDS Sheets.
  17. Most of the plastics are a PVC based resin. JMHO... They are not good to breath!!!! There is a reason why the hazardous labels are put on them and the MSDS sheets are on the sites. Me personally.... I'm not taking any chances. I just put another $50 in to my exhaust hood and for the very time today my wife asked what I was doing as she walked by to change the laundry in the basement and I told her pouring baits. She said really, I couldn't tell. I had just finished pouring so I had taken my safety goggles and respirator off. Bottom line to me... safety first. My workshop is roughly 11' x 20' and I have the following: Exhaust hood that measures 4' x 3' x 2' with a range hood with 250rpm fan vented directly outside Inline booster fan half way from my range hood to the window I vent out of Safety goggles that cover my eyes completely (not just for splashing of plastic but to protect my eyes from fumes) Respirator that I change the cartridges after 8 hours of use Still looking for a decent pair of gloves My only advice is you only get one go round at this game of life and for me I sleep better at night know I have taken some good precautions to avoid something that bad that could take years off my life if not handled properly. Sorry for the long winded rant but safety is a pretty big topic for me. I can send some pics of my set up if you'd like. Just PM me.
  18. If it helps I think it was posted by onesock.
  19. Post some pics so we can see your results!
  20. I second that Longhorn. I cannot stress enough. Safety First!!!! I pour in my basement but I also have engineered a vacuum hood that goes out a window, with an inline booster fan. Currently it blows at 180 CFM and turns the air over in my area 6 times and hour. I'm going to upgrade the fan though to a 350 CFM fan to make it turn the air over 10-12 times an hour. Ideally I'd like to turn it over once every 1-3 minutes to minimize any fumes escaping. I also just got some fully enclosed goggles (like used in a science lab... $10 at Home Depot) this past weekend and wore it instead of just the regular safety glasses I use and man what difference did that make! Funny how much my workshop has been upgraded safety wise since the birth of my little one. Whether it be fumes, heat, or whatever... you only get one go round at this and it shouldn't be taken lightly.
