  2. walmart sells straight pins with a round plastic head on it.....several different sizes...dip the head into silver paint and alow to dry...when completely dry put a little black paint on an index card and touch the silver head to it.....styrafoam works great to stick the pins in while drying......to apply on lure i cut the pin from the head and leave approx 3/16" pin that you can either push in or drill a small hole for it... nugene
  3. i,ll have to get someone here to do that for me.....i know just enough about this PUTA to be dangerous.....later nugene
  4. husky.....your advice about adding paint thinner sure helps.....i still got a few voids but i think skinning the master with virgin silicone on the next will solve that.......when i made my master i went ahead and put the lip in it......made a box (11/2" pvc pipe) long enough for the lip....before i pour the resin i put a lip in the void the master made and now it's molded in instead of glueing....in addition i put the belly weight (which has a hook hanger in it) in the mold with a small dia mono and pull the eye up into the slit at the proper place.....so when i pull the lure all i have to do is glue in the rear hook hanger....works great....also i learned real quick you don't have to heat the wally silicone as much as you do the the allumilite rtv3 rubber.......that resin came back out of the hole like a volcano!!!!!!!!! again to all of you for sharing your tricks....nugene
  5. is the paint thinner you're talking about mineral spirits or lacquer???????i want to thank you all for the imfo as i am d--- tired of ordering the $35 rtv....nugene

i know what you mean....i have seen poly cattle troughs that were probably 2 feet wide and i remember 2 different lengths....i think one would be close to 10 ft long and the other 15 or 20 ft long.....maybe a foot deep...they have a frame they sit in to keep them from turning over.....might look into one myself....later nugene

  13. Bamboo Chop Sticks.....you Can Buy A Bundle Of 20 For $1.00....cut Them In Half...this Leaves About 5 Or 6 Inches To Work With...when Taping Up The Bill I Tape On The Piece With The Tapered End...great To Hold On To..also If I'm Turning I Have A Roticery Motor That Drives A 1"x2" Board That Is 30" Long With 3/16" Holes Every 2"...push The Tapered End In And It Tightens Up !!!with The Other End I Sand A Angle (from Front Back An Inch Or So) And Then Put A Shallow V On It And You Have A Great Tool To Get Hooks Out...especially Pan Fish Nugene
