Has anyone ever made a POP mold for pouring lead? Can POP withstand the heat from lead?

I am new at making molds and need a little help.. I tried making a two piece plaster of paris mold for 5 inch senkos. The first side of the mold came out great as well as the second side. When I went to seperate the two halfs...well I couldn't seperate them. Aluminum foil was used in the corners but I guess that did not work. Am I missing something here? Any tips on pouring the plaster so I can seperate the halves? Greatly aprreciated!
