I'm the opposite! I have only a few rods, 2 musky rods, 1 bass baitcaster, and four spinning rods. I carry a good amount of lures. i just figure the less you have, the less you have to keep track of...
I can't wait to get some. I know it probably makes the bait pretty front heavy. I am just wondering it it will affect the ballast or the action, having such a heavy lip...
I have a local hobby shop that sells aluminum in 24'' by 30'' or so sheets that are right around lip thickness. How easy is it to cut this stuff with a band saw, and how would you get it to the perfect shape afterwards? Also, are they harder to secure? Do they throw off action? Info. please! Thanks
I love your style benton! I always think that i have to make my lures very realistic, but that top one and many of your others are creative and I bet they catch a lot of fish. Could you please shoot me a PM on how you go about choosing your color patterns? Thanks a lot
Really? Thats great cause I went on their website and searched lexan and it came up with nothing. I guess I'll make a trip over there. Thanks.
(I'll still probable use some plexi to get rid of it though)
I don't know of any lexan dealers in the area, so my only supply for lips is from a large sheet of plexi-glass I have. I was wondering if they are really bad to use as lips. In what situations is plexi at its weakest? Thanks a lot guys!
Nothing beats high quality maple. Its got beautiful grains and the hardness doesn't allow many slips for stupid mistakes. The color is so nice on it sometimes I wish I didn't have to paint it.
