  7. i would start with warming your mold.and your bubbles more than likely are from the mold being cold it may be condensating when the hot plastic hits it plus the cold mold is making the plastic cool before it flows through the mold.
  8. I Was Wondering If Any One Could Tell Me What Settings Such As Shutter Speed And Flash Should I Set My Camera To When Taking Photos In A Light Box Thanks .........shane
  9. i noticed in the winter if i havent ben out in my shop for a couple of days my molds will sometime get a lil moisture on the surface when the shop warms up.this can cause the plastic to get bubbles.
  10. longhorn ive had the oomoo 25 sitting around for about 10 months before using it all and the only thing i ever had a issue with is if its cold in the shop it takes about 4 hours to sit up if the temp is not cold only takes 1.5 hours to set up hope this helps ........shane
  11. looks just like a strike king salt water swim bait
  12. your qustion is a lil to open.differnt baits get a differnt amount of salt for example a stick bait gets alot more than say a drop shot worm.what kind of bait you wanting to add salt to?
  13. i use devcon 2 ton epoxy to seal my pop molds.the shine of the baits from the pop molds are equal to my aluminum molds. i have a few i sealed with the elmer glue method and it worked well also.if i remember right it was elmers glue all,cut it 50/50 with water get a small soda bottle fill half way with glue top off with water shake it up real good let it set for a few moments to let the bubbles settle,o i forgot drill a small hole in the bottle lid.now all you have to is flood the mold cavity with the mix.you will need to repeat this a few time the pop will absorb the mix the first time or 2.
  14. after reading this post i checked my L.C soft plastic paint i have the red and black.i bought them a a lil over a year ago and only used them a few times.they havent ben opened in months.i was expecting to find the same problems as mentioned in this post but mine was fine the red and black color had seperated and settled to the bottom and the clear had risen to the top.i shook it up for a few seconds and it all blended together perfect. the reason i mention this is maybe it has something to do with the way the bottles are closed and stored or maybe its just luck of the draw.on mine after the lid is screwed on tight i hold it upside down for a few seconds on the thought that the left over paint on the inside of the lid would kinda dry and make a seal.then i put the bottle in a zip lock bag and squeeze out any air then i kept them in a file cabnet in the shop so no light would get to them.
  15. check out the cook book up top has many good colors
  16. i use the method siubass mentioned but i coat the exposed bolt thread with vasaline.the mold top slides right off . now if you use the clamps that is mentioned in this thread be careful not to clamp were the mold is thin due to the cavity of the bait i had one crack a few years back so i agree the thin plywood between the clamp would help
  17. email me shanescustombaits@yahoo.com i have a couple differnt sizes and styles
  18. mix the hardner in the plastic cold and stir it in real good.sound like yours is not spread throughout the plastic when you heat it and you dont need much hardner.i add my color and scent right before i pour hope this helps.............MONKEYqpHUNTER:twocents:
