Something about this color scheme.... I like the transition orange to yellow off the dorsal...it's color scheme i would use with confidence...believe i will try your "eye-lashes" pattern and your colors...thanks for sharing surfk9, good job. -
Griffond I've also become interested in throwing gliders for bass...out here on the west coast on the California Delta...last spring I made my first glider following steps on Lurebuild (site recommended by Diemai). I followed instructions for the "Jacko" glider in the Hybrid section....must say it works great. Latest creation....5 inch glider from poplar with createx colors and DT2 topcoat....thanks to solarfall for tutorial on gill plates ...my first attempt...I'm pleased with the results...hopefully the fish will be too. -

My first glider...works great .slow sink, good suspending following a pause...patterned after a 'gill a buddy of mine caught on the California Delta. Poplar with Createx paint and DT2 topcoat. -

Just noticed under my user photo, below the #of posts is a heading for "warning points" ......am I being reprimanded??? in five years of being on this site i've never seen this heading.....could someone please explain this....did i do something/print something that's unacceptable??? Don't really get it and am somewhat offended....is it because i said "yuck" to my opinion of the gallery...c'mon i really love this site and all the knowledge i've gained from the members.....i probably visit this site more than any others on the web (i may not post alot but still i,m here daily...according to my wife i live on this site)????????????

Same here!!! I started a thread about a month ago on the same subject.....matters improved for a week or so...back to same issues...very frustrating...as long as i'm venting, what's with the gallery revamping...my personal opinion ....yuck!!! I thought the previous set-up was GREAT...why " fix it, if it's not broken" just my two cents surfk9

I'm starting a two-joint "slammer" knockoff....curious where to put ballast...on my other top waters (poppers and punker style) i usually have weighting a little past center... any suggestions? Thanks, Surfk9
