Lived in Wichita for 6 years. Great people to work with. Helped me get started. Many of the smaller tackle shops in KS/ MO/ and AR are the best to deal with by phone for prices. Here is another to call for supplies: Mertens Bait and Tackle - Jefferson City, MO google them and give them a call. They have all the old molds too.

I got a hold of the Paycheck Punch Skirts and they are a skirt of their own. yes you can do the same concept with a hole in one skirt, a lure body, or a skirt umbrella, but believe me, these are a skirt of their own and are only made to put your line through. they have a very, very hard small round bead, that the skirt is actually tied in with thread some how. Now I say the bead is too hard to put on a jig or spinnerbait, but I have not tried it, but just by holding it, it seems like it is just for the line. Its the Hottest thing in the tackle stores right now and extra HOT in California. Jarod

Let me know if you have further questions. For your jigs, you would have to have the heads made, and then glue them to the hook. Tungsten parts are made in a cast and sintered process which heats them to several thousand degrees. It is not possible to cast them to the hook like lead. The jig heads could be made in 2 halves and then glued together around the hook before finishing. I am pretty sure this is how others are doing it.
