They cant... All it does is reduce the waters resistance against the blade.

The "standard" sizes are all over the place, Just like hooks, split rings, and snaps... There's not a good size standard to go by. Your best bet is length and lb capacity.

What would hold it on the bait? Water wont. You need a binder. I'm not sure glitter will travel through a spray bottle.
