Yes, I don't like any other brush I have owned as well. Not the Iwata or Paasche. Get any compressor you like, But this is a good and quiet one that I know you would be happy with for many years. It will also do many other tasks like nail guns, fill tires, etc... Unlike an airbrush specific compressor...

I just re-tie. Most don't do it often enough anyway. Takes 10 seconds.

I think the spring needs to be moved 90* from its position. The weight needs to move front to back because of the position of pull movement.

The more angle out of the head has more flex and less hook set delivery. Also promotes bending on fish catch's/boat flips. Weakening wire.

20-24 gauge copper. 22 is best I think. 2 wraps only. Pull tight before twisting. Don't twist to do the tightening.

Looks like the angle of the bill/lip is not down enough to me. That is where I would start, And the lip may need to increase surface area.
