I prefer using 6in manual (No spring return) safety wire twister pliers. Wrap wire two times and pull tag ends snug and twist. Cut off tags and bend over. I have not found a faster, cleaner looking method that makes the skirt look alive.
I just use a universal rotisserie motor for a grill...

Why not use a hook of your choice and use a connector link/figure8 molded into the lead? That would be my preference. Allowing you different hooks and angle choices.

Where have you been? 1000's of guys ask the same thing.... Still nothing affordable for the hobbyist. I spend a ton of money making baits and I am still waiting.
I suggest eliminating these and just use a jig hook instead of a spinnerbait hook. That is what I did and I'm much happier.
