    KBS

Jegs and Summit racing is where I have bought it most times... Now LPO sells it. http://www.lurepartsonline.com/Online-Store/Liquid-Topcoats/Diamond-Finish-Thinner.html
  3. Yes... That is what they sell it for.... But the Xylol/Xylene works as good and cheaper and easier to find at your local home center or hardware store.
  4. Are you thinning the KBS 20% with Xylol/Xylene like you should be? 2 coats? Many say they don't turn their baits.... I turn them all so the coat is even w/o any pooling anywhere.
  5. People only hear the bad.... That is why I'm posting the good as well... I hope that they see how it works. I believe everybody deserves a second chance....
  6. **** UPDATE**** I have ordered 2 more times since this post.... All is well.
  7. blue painters tape of green frog tape for me.
  8. Mixing the right amount of harbor freight black to harbor freight yellow will get you a pretty nice green pumpkin... This is what I do.
  9. I use Worthco Colorado blades with plenty of vibe!
  10. I have been leaving mine clear as I want the bait tail to be noticed less no matter the color of the body. I fish mine mostly with a steady retrieve and the tail is a blur to the fish, Just like I want it.
  11. OK *************UPDATE****************** Avid stepped up this time and made it right to me... I will give them the benefit of the doubt. We all make mistakes and learn from them. They did ship the correct blades so I can finish my lures properly. I hope that since this thread was read by them, That they see some of their mistakes and try not to repeat them... Thanks AVID BASS TACKLE for making this right... I will be ordering more stuff in the near future. Mike
  12. I have been contacted with a resolution/apology by Forrest's assistant.... I will post my results as things happen.. BTW... Look>>> http://www.lurepartsonline.com/Online-Store/Propellers/Chopper-Prop.html They offer both direction props for a reason.... Somebody dropped the ball on the ones I ordered from AVID... It may be the manufacture, But they do make both direction blades for a reason.
  13. Okay... He may have read this post or someone sent it to him. It sounds like he may try and do something for me. I will keep you posted... PS: Still cant finish my baits until I get the right parts...
  14. I have always had fast shipping other then the pre order/pre pay whopper ploppers.. He blamed the supplier... I didn't pay his supplier. I paid him. Put the props on backwards? Give me a break!
  15. I was warned here, But I never had a problem until my last order.... I ordered a bunch of baits, Including these "AVID Dual Prop BUZZIN CRANK Topwater Blanks" on July 23.. On august 21 I sent the first message about the problem. I have sent many more messages since w/o any reply. They have counter rotating blades. Of all of the blades, 90% of them are one direction. You need both directions to make the bait run correctly and not spin and twist your line. I left e-mail/facebook messages for him letting him know of the problem... Tonight I get this reply.... "Hi Mike... All props are shipped in a single bag from the supplier. We have not seen or heard of any being counter rotating. Line twist should not be a problem with inline props. If you are concerned about it, Mount the rear prop backwards..." Really? ......That's the solution? I cant even believe this was his reply... These blades wont run backwards. It is obvious that he knows nothing about his products or how lures work. I'm all done sending him my money... I should have listened to the others here warning me...
  16. I have taken many baits and brushed on a clear, and while tacky, Roll the bait in silver glitter. Press firmly all around and let dry. Rub off any loose excess glitter and paint. Different size silver or hologram glitter makes for some cool looking baits. It will take a couple more coats of clear to get a good finish.
  17. I'd be a little worried about the strength. I would need SS if I did that. The free movement should be great though.
  18. Plumbers putty, skirt collar, Correct size O-Ring, etc...
  19. Braid is so limp and slack line can wrap easier than stiffer mono.
  20. I do a no paint minnow head that looks chrome, And it matters on these.
  21. This may work.... I have not tried it.
  22. Nail Art Transfer Foils>>> http://www.dollarnailart.com/cat_pages/foils.html Through a stencil is another idea. http://www.dollarnailart.com/files/TRANSFER_FOIL_INSTRUCTION.pdf
