  1. I do most all of my molds. I drill out the eyelet area deep and over fill the holes with red/copper rtv silicone. Let it dry and use a razor blade to cut off flush with the mold. Now you can use any hook w/o getting any flash.

    E-tex ?

I have used many types of 2 part epoxies including several e-tex products. I have never noticed any smell or fumes from them. I do use a brush for applications.
  3. This is awesome work... Give yourself alot more credit. If I had this talent/machines..... I'd never have any time to fish., Keep up the great work. I drill out the eyelet holes deep and overfill with red rtv high temp silicone, let dry and cut off flush with a razor blade to fit any hook I want w/o any flash... It also holds the hooks where you want.
  4. I make them like this in 1/32, 1/16, 3/32, and 1/8 oz. Look>> http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&section=viewimage&img=6667 http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&section=viewimage&img=6666

  6. The shaft needs to ride horizontal to let the front blade spin on it's "axle" Bend the wire closed, add a bigger rear blade are two things that can/will help.
  7. I tie with 20-22 gauge copper craft wire. Only wrap twice, pull tags hard and twist snug to hold... Then I hand strip the strips into 3 parts, stretch and cut.
  8. Is there an echo in here?
  9. Why make them, when you can buy them... The top two are what your looking for. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/crankbait-bills-lure-lips/315210.aspx

I have sold some at $1 each unpainted... I really should charge a bit more as there is not much profit. 21xdcbullet@att.net http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_103720____SearchResults

    Modified Mold

Looks OK, I have done this before and the bait needs to be glued onto the barb... I think a barbed 90* jig mold modifying it to take a 60* hook instead of a 90* would leave a better barbed collar to push the bait onto. Making a new path for the hook shank if you know what I mean.
