Thanks for the offer.... I might just keep looking for a deal on a wobblehead mold to modify. I thought about using the spinner blades, But I want something more consistant in size and weight like a mold. Mike

I actually have already made this mold out of my heart shaped buzz bait mold. It does not stand up the bait to my liking., Keep on keeping on please.

OK... After doing some more research, It appears that the bend up is too long for any of the hooks to get out to the nose. I did a search for wobblehead on e-bay and got many pics to compare. When your lying in bed tonight, Try and come up with a better way for me...

Thanks guys, I have never seen that mold. I wish I would have known yesterday as I was at Cabelas. I might be able to work that mold the way I want.... Keep looking for me though.. Mike

I too have done the JB Weld trick and eye mods, But this is not even close to the arky head. I have those molds. I have 60+ of those. I want to make a stand up head out of this one. Nice wide flat bottom without a ton of weight, and has a somewhat pointed front to come through the weeds.

My sniffer must be broke. I don't huff the stuff, But I can't smell anything unless I try real hard. No smell or problems for me.

I use it on homemade wood baits and they look great. I imagine that you might not get as good of scale effect on a platnic bait.

I jumped on the EWG bend style jig hook bandwagon when they first came out and bought many thousands at a time. It did not take long for me and my customers to figure out we were missing bites and loosing more fish than with the round bend styles. There are still people that think differently, But I personally will not use them in any bait I throw unless I was to bend the hook/point up some. I try and put the biggest round bend hook in my baits that they will allow and still be functual.

Looks OK to me. I have been playing with foil myself. I used aluminum duct tape. Wrap the bait and smooth out with a sharpie pen by rubbing it. Then take a socket wrench with a knurled handle and roll it on the bait with some pressure. To me, this is about as good as it gets. I put the seam at the top or bottom and cover with a tad of paint and clear.

Look at a fabric store for wedding veil and other netting material. Many sizes and choices.

Let stencils be your friend... Much easier to duplicate and be consistant too.

Yep... Paint isle. By the other clear coats. Ask for "Pour On" finish... The E-tex is smaller text.

I have been using Plaid "Folk Art" and thinning alot for airbrushing. It has worked fairly well for me. But I spent a long time talking to Plaids product knowledge speciaist and she reccomended the Michaels "Craft Smart". It costs $0.50 a bottle instead of $2.00 a bottle. Plaid makes this paint also. Seems to work better than apple barrel as well. So far it has been better than any "craft paint" I have tried. 74 colors. $37 will buy every color.. Just thought I'd share this with my tackle making buds. Mix 50/50 with water. http://www.michaels.com/art/on...p0229
