  1. My old eyes need a good light directly overhead so I can pour right down the center of my two piece molds. also, keep everyone away while pouring, especially young kids.
  2. In my experience, adding salt will harden the bait. I add about 30% salt. The color will become much lighter. You will need to add more color, usually much more. These are similar issues that we have all learned from. You are on the right track. Keep it up. Remember, any mistake you make, you will learn from. I have made many mistakes, just be safe.
  3. All of the glitter I bought at craft stores ended up in the trash. It changes the plastic color when hot. I only buy glitter from Del-Mart. I've never had a problem with his glitter. I typically use .040, or .035
  4. I put a small amount in the plastic after it is hot and ready to pour. It covers up the "plastic" smell. Then I put enough in the bag to make my stick baits lay correctly. My favorite is craw with garlic. It's great!
