  1. that's funny! Furthest I have ever thrown anything in my life was when I had numeous dipping disasters! Never heard the blade land! Nothing like a temper tantrum to vent the curse of dipping! Never felt like any result I got was worth the tremnedous effort. To those who are technically proficient dipping baits, Hats off!!! No question in my mind why dipped baits are so expensive!
  2. I have used the Lure Craft 5x891 and love it! Fishing for snook and redfish on a small 1/8 jig head and just swimming it works very well for me. I also have rigged it weightless with a heavy guage dropshot style hook with success. Pours fairly easy, two color pours can be tough, just get the plastic hot hot! 5x891 - LureCraft It does tear easily , but thta's one reason I pour my own! Cheap and remelt!
  3. Man I love me some bead baits, still have not played with making my own mold, but looks super easy. Thanks for the heads up Del, I alsways run out of time then forget cool ideas before I play with them Check out these, my fave Peanut Worm 15-pack : Secret Weapon Online Store
  4. WOW! Pretty simple, easy, soloution, consider that idea officially stolen, thanks for sharing that!!
  5. Hi, I just discovered these messages. Please email me at mgreene1@carolina.rr.com if you are interested in the runners. We are currently running a sale on them.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  6. Med. Lc 502 and medLC gold holi-jewel glitter
  7. While oredering some more supplies from LC I noticed a new swimbait mold that looked perfect for where I fish (and my newb pouring skills) , Just got the mold today, poured one for a test swim in the pool and am shocked at how awesome it swims!! Thumps pretty hard and tracks great with just a slight body roll,. I've never added eyes to soft plastics, so i melted some plastic and bingo ! Hurricanes are good for getting some pours done; between Fay,Gustav and Ike, I am getting lots of practice! Kim and the gang are super cool and patient with all my stiupid questions!
  8. hey Mike I want some runners , what's the process?

  9. Kudos for two awesome baits , when that trout stops and looks behind himself... I could just see that bait gettin smashed !,
  10. Glitter is only in bottom color , 1/8 tsp gold holi glitter in two ounces, none in the copper,
  11. actually the color is perfect for what I am trying to match , it just seems the plastic needs to be hotter than other powders to pour, the amount(1/4tsp to 2oz. plastic) was recommended in the LC catalog, however I trust you guys, so you guys are suggesting to back off the powder and add a drop of color , right?
  12. These are some Laminates I have been playing with (please critique), trying to duplicate the hottest saltwater color around here ( Berkley New Penny), question is my copper lumina seems much thicker, adding 1/4 tsp to 2 oz., than other color powder(white for bottom), do some colors and powders need or like more heat than others? The copper Lumina seems to pour good only when super hot. All colors and glitters are LC and LC med. plastic Any suggestions or comments appreciated, oh yeah this is stupid addicting isn't it!?!
  13. In tournamnets, we call that dumbing into one! So let me see if I got this right, from the vein threads, split veins are when the bottom color is hotter than the top color being poured over it and it kind of leaks up and through? Could see where this would be a really good looking but challenging thing to duplicate, thanks for the help , I will try to duplicate with clear and pour a glitter vein and see what happens(fingers crossed)
  14. Thanks guys, could it have something to do with mold heating up as well?
