  1. I have learned so much from this site, wanted to share my swimbait hook method, no pouring! Materials needed: 1. Mustad 91768 5/0 (or your choice of hook and size) 2. French wire keepers found at Joann's in the jewelry section. (these help keep the bait from sliding down the hook) 3.Pinch on weights in size of choice. 4.Stainless or bronze Hitchiker( i prefer Med. size and a drop of glue to hold bait) Crimp weight on hook shank, attach Hitchiker, and thread wire keeper on shank, rig fave swimbait and slide wire keeper so it just touches the belly of the swimbait! p.s. NEVER throw 5 inch swimbaits in front of Big Tarpon, takes way too long to reel them in!!
  2. Which LC mold are those baits (719)? Also how do you rig them same as wioth Big Bite?
  3. Try crosscut rabbit strips , even better is Finnish Raccoon for big bushy jigs. The technique is called palmering, tie in the fur and wrap ( be sure to fold fur back between each wrap) towards jig head>
  4. another Naples Tackle head!?! At least i am not alone
  5. Perfect works like a charm, couldn't find Enviro @ Michael's but gold glitter looks great! Thanks
  6. I am a total newb looking for info on how you guys get some of the awesome glitter topcoats on your baits. What type of glitter and clear coat are you using?
  7. I knew someone here had probably done this! Would this only be possible with a one part mold or could it be rigged for two parts?
  8. I use a ton of swimbaits like Storm and Calcutta, with the lead molded in, after these baits get wrecked I always save the inserts( hook with molded lead) and was wondering is it possible to use these in a swimbait mold. It seems I would have to make a mold then at some point insert the hook/weight in the still soft plastic. I have tons of these hooks/ weights laying around. Any thoughts or ideas? BTW most inspiring website ever!
