I made a senko style mold and I have never used salt in my plastic, could anyone give any tips? Like when to add the salt and about how much. Thanks for any help.

Does anyone know what kind and where to get a respirator that would protect from the plastic fumes while pouring? And about how much they cost? The reason I ask is my wife has been helping me lately and she is really getting in to it and I dont want to expose her to anything harmful. Thanks for any help.

How much plastic can you microwave at a time. I made a huge musky swimbait pop mold for a friend and it will take alot of plastic. I have a 32 oz pyrex cup if you can microwave that much. And does anyone know a good way to guess how much plastic it will take to fill a mold that you have never used before? Thanks for any help.

yeah as soon as the mound started to go in enough for me to pour more plastic I did. Maybe I need to make my pour hole larger. Just a thought. Does anyone else have this same problem or is it just my molds? Thanks again.

I made some two part pop swim bait molds and poured some today. They came out pretty good but most of them had air pockets in them and some had holes in them. I would pour them until the plastic would come out of the top. But after it set for awhile it would go down in the mold really slow and I would pour more plastic in the pour hole until it came out again. I think that I have the molds vented well enough. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

I made a 2 part pop mold last night and i'm letting it dry for a couple days. My question is when I seal it with elmers glue all should I flood the whole thing like i would a 1 part mold or just the cavity and pour holes? The reason I ask is that I thought I heard somewhere that if you seal the whole thing it will effect the way the two parts go together. Thanks for any help!

I just poured my first swimbaits and not bad, but they have alot of bubbles on the top of the bait. What did I do wrong? Thanks for any help.

How do you know how long to nuke it? When do you add color, glitter etc. If anyone could explain this to me it would be greatly appreciated! Also can I do this inside or do I need to be outdoors for good ventilation? What all do I need to get started? THANKS!

Does anyone know how to use rc car antena tubbing to make swimbait inserts? I try searching for it and couldnt find anything. Sorry I am asking so many questions but I am very new to swimbaits and just trying to get it figured out. Thanks!

I have a pop mold dry and ready to be sealed. I am going to use the elmers glue all 50/50 mix. How do i apply this to the mold? Thanks for the help.

I am working on a swimbait, and I am new to swimbaits. So I am wanting to figure out how to put a treble hook on it. Maybe run some leader making material through it and attach a split ring at the nose of the bait and my treble to the other end at the belly? Just a thought and if that is a good idea what all would I need to do this? Any advice would be helpfull. And what would be the best way to weight it or should I? Thanks for any help

I made some master swimbaits from sculpey, and am now ready to make my pop mold. My question is if I should bake my clay or leave it soft and either way what should I use as a releasing agent. HELP! Thanks for any help.
