  1. Is the K sensor in contact with the actual heating element, with the crucible or just in the air space between the crucible and the outer housing?
  2. I no longer get email notifications of PMs. Also, the "messenger and "notifications" text at the top of the page are invisible but become visible if I hover the mouse over them.
  3. I either use butter knives or chopsticks from the nicer Asian restaurants.
  4. I clean mine with WD-40. It gets the plastic off and inhibits the rusting all at the same time.
  5. There are a few mods you can make to a lee pot to make it work acceptably. The ones in Steve's video are the old model.
  6. Kim mentioned to me a year or two ago that they were looking at getting a couple machines and getting into that side of it. Looking at the mold descriptions they have under their section, it looks like they may have bought some of Del's programs.
  7. You'll have to use more colorant than you are. You can't neutralize the white of the salt, you have to overpower it.
  8. 8 oz. Plastic 3 tbs salt (or some white colorant) 38 drops MF Watermelon 1 drop LC Black 2 drops MF Brown 2 smidge .015 gold 2 smidge .015 black
  9. I've seen one somewhere online with one of the mold makers, I just can't remember which one.
  10. The 32886 is a 30 degree bend and that mold was made for a 60 degree bend hook. Does it work ok or did you have to mod the mold for the hook?
  11. I've never used it but I've heard good things about it. I'm sure if you asked they'd tell you.
  12. Bears. baitjunkys, do-it all accept paypal i think.
  13. I prefer alumalite quick set because it works and is easily obtainable (You can get it at Hobby Lobby). The high strength works but is a little too flimsy for my taste..
  14. I'm guessing you haven't looked lately. Zman made everyone stops selling heads with an open hook eye.
  15. Try using 1 (or 2) drop of black to 4 ounces of plastic. It makes clear "clearer"
  16. What amount of plastic is that Frank? Just curious.

    So........

    I looked, couldn't find it.
  18. I've found that pouring a scrap plastic base in my mold box and then using mend-it to secure my original to it works really well.
  19. Yes. You can also use a binder clip on the top to make a very small spout.
  20. Yes, it will fill more volume wise but not level wise (if that makes sense). If you pull the pistons back on a 1.5" injector and a 3/4" injector equal distance, they will draw in different volumes but fill to the same vertical level inside the tube..
  21. Probably that you'll need 3 times more plastic on the big side I guess.
  22. How is it different? The 221 is more brown than the 196. I don't think I've seen the one you're talking about in person, but on the Yamamoto site it looks on the brown side.
