Amazing how that works right? I cut the eyes to that shape. I just used wire cutters for a clean cut.
  3. I also use denatured alcohol in my devcon. It works very well in thinning and prolonging brush time by a few minutes. It does not effect the devcon finish after it dries.
  4. You are thinking of Createx paints. As for the green I would just get a primary green color. You can always mix it for the shade you want with black and yellow and so on. Createx is a good starter paint but it sometimes needs to be thinned to flow properly. I would recomend you buy a createx primary color set. You can get them cheap online. Just use the primary colors to mix the colors you want then you can start adding your flakes and pearl paints and so on to your arsenal.

Sorry about that! It is a Norman Deep little N repaint. I thought it was a horibble choice in color when I was painting it.. When I put the dark on the back and the stripes in the sides it turned around and begged to be cleared.

I used Dev2, I also put in something called "diamond Dust" I found at Micheals craft store. Just mix it in the epoxy and brush it on. Works great!
  9. Guess I should have read the rules! Thanks guys.
  10. I posted a thread a couple days ago with a blue and black Rapala I painted.. Wondering what happened to it?
  11. Just a paint stripper will do, some paint thinner. As long as you clean the paint off then immediatley clean off the lure with water and a cotton ball you will have no issues with the thinner hurting the lure. I usually leave on the factory paint and take a light sanding to it then spray with a primer. Then I airbrush thinned out createx over it heat set each layer then let it dry then go on to clear.
  12. Strip them with a paint stripper then clean them. You can paint them with your favorate paint after stripping just make sure it is clean.

    Gel coats?

Anyone expirement in using gel coats on there baits? Like osmehitn maybe used for a boat? I bet it would make for a good clear. I have smacked the gelcoat on a boat pretty hard and it did nothing.. I think Norman lures uses a gel coat as well.. Seems to be decently strong.
  16. I ordered min eon ebay, Got it within a week after ordering with free shipping.
  17. If you are painting big baits and also spraying your base coat with an airbrush.. A .3 mm would get the job done a lot faster.. but a .5 would be better. I personally only use a .2 with my PS900. I only paint small bass lures as well.
  18. It is not being sold at the moment.. Just gander at the threads.
  19. I do use hot sauce ils/greases.. I use oil in my bearing correct? I will take a picture of the bearing later tonight and post a picture.. I am kinda lost on all of it.
  20. Wondering what kind of bearing I would need to replace my KVD quantum reels.. they cast good I clean and lube them all the time. I am looking for a little more out of them.. Anyone guide me in the right direction?
