  1. This post has been floating around for almost 3 years. A lot of guys have contributed with "what they do." Some interesting stuff. This time of year, where I`m located and where I fish. 95% of my fishing is done in pad-fields,big and small, Rod is a 6 1/2 stout puppy. A round reel (slow speed) with braided line, 50 lb test. I lock the drag down as this is not about playing the fish but rather getting them out. Use only 1/2 oz spinner baits (big blades). Lots of different colors. Get to hung up on a color and you can possibly miss out on what they really want. By the time you put the boat back on the trailer, after a day of fling and winding it back, rest assured, you will be one tired......................... you can fill in that space. By the way, I`m catch and release only !
  2. Lousy pic... Doesn`t do justice to your re-paint job.
  3. For me that`s a bland "paint-job", tastefully done...........

    More PVC Crankbaits

You always seem to have funky baits. I don`t mean that in a negative way. Maybe I should say, certainly different. Some of your "paint jobs" are out side the box which, to me, shows your creative spirit.

    Slice-n-Dice

Thanks for the heads up. Didn`t know it was made from a commercial mold. The poster asked." comments would be appreciated." I offered mine. As far as the T/H goes...different strokes for different folks.

    little guy

Gunnie, I don`t know what you did so I`ll assume you did the "paint job." That alone really captures the look of a Blue Gill/Sunfish.That`s what I call-um. Your intergration of the colors really shows a nice touch.

    Slice-n-Dice

Looks like your right on target. Nice thick body/legs. Should take some punishment. My only though is maybe you could get the legs with a little more seperation giving them more area to "work" in. Move them wider on the body. If you can. Other than that , send me a bag and I`ll try them on some Fl bass.
  8. I started out pond fishing many years ago with nothing more than an Abu-Reflex and some plastic worms. Back then all we had were the worms made by .........Creme. Mostly Black. Sure did catch my share of bass. Those were fun days. Walk around the edges, cast and catch some fish. No worries. Great times! If I went today, I`d do the same thing....almost. Still have a sack of plastic worms. except lots of different colors. A spinner bait or two. A Buzz bait also. Maybe a couple of other baits, maybe. Pond fishing on a nice, warm summer day is the greatest. Great memories!!

    Medium Flat Siders

Second one from the top ..I like green.

    Fat-T "Arctic perch"

The colors on this one are nice. That is until you tried to intergrate the white.
  11. Braided Line

    Mid-T "Gold Tiger"

Actually, I like this "paint-job" much better then your Artic Char.

    Poe's repaint

Ok, you asked.......... For me the top Green on your "paint-job" comes to far down on the sides. The bottom scheme, looks good and meshes nicely with the Green. It`s hard to suggest something when in the eyes of the originator, it`s as it should be. Different strokes for different folks. Do like you work but as I said, you did ask. I`d like to give you props for your comments. Seems like a lot of posters just show their work with no explaination and expect a comment. Comment on what?

    smallie

Great looking Smallie! Catch and release. I remember looking like you....dressed for the cold but not anymore. Central Fl weather is great for all year, decent weather fishing. Although it does get HOT in the summer months. I guess you could call that a trade-off.

    3.5" Swimbait

Would like to see a few more pic`s of your work so I can better judge it. The one posted doesn`t present itself that well. For me anyway.
  15. Nice collection but don`t shy away from the bold colors.

    Gill

That`s a great "paint job." Nice and rich.

    My first few cranks.

Lately there have been some really nice baits posted. Even better are the "paint jobs." Yours is no exception. I`ve said it before, the body of the bait is the canvas that allows the creator to show his stuff and you have done just that. That`s one whale of a "paint job."

    1st timer

That thing will have teeth marks all over it after a day of fishing...... That`s a very cool green "paint-job."

    some homemade patterns

A different color scheme...I like it!
  20. Braided Line

    Few more colors

I`d like to have a sack of those .......That`s all that needs to be said.

  23. A really nice color scheme! Everything blends well.
  24. You captured the "fishy" look in that color scheme. Nice job!
