Forget the bass. I like it~
  2. Sounds like you`ve had some experence of your own with Mr Mudfish. Here`s one on me. I "lipped" the very first mudfish I ever caught. I`d never seen one before in my life. So I didn`t know what was about to happen. Insert.....LOL here! A life lesson learned.
  3. Baits are good but it`s the color set ups that got me. Nice!

    a mistake

Came back for another "look." Nice work!

    Great color set-up. Like it.
  6. I like it! 3/8 oz on braided line, in the pads........... get the net.
  7. That bottom plug................GREAT depth on the color. I`d be glad to offer free storage for it in my tackle box.
  8. This could go in the Hard Bait section but I`ll put it here just to be on the safe side. I ve just taken the slide show "tour" of the many baits offered by their makers and was really impressed by the guality, color schemes, originality and attention to detail. If I`ve missed anything, then that too. From my point of view, the contributers who put their creations up for display are to be commended. Nice work guys! I don`t have the talent for such stuff but I can appreciate the results.
  9. Paint job and the un-usual (to me anyway) line-tie got my attention. Nice!

    Pop Queen?

Had to make a comment. That puppy is sweet. Top water baits in Fla are big. They are one of my go to weapons as i can put them in skinny water and enjoy the blow-up. To top that bait off I`d put a mint green dressed treble hook on it. I like color. Nice bait.

Now that puppy would catch bass in the St John`s river........no doubt.
  12. I`m a mul-ti color guy from the get-go...............very nice,

I like that color scheme. Plus the "red" hooks add pa-zas. Nice looking bait. That being said,I`d like to try the puppy on some Fla Bass.
  14. Vadkaman....PhilB: Now that you guys brought up the FESTIVAL thing. It brings back really good memories of my time spent in Germany and all those October- fests. No need to elaborate as you guys know how much fun they where.
  15. Congratulations to you both.
  16. I must say...again.....there are some very talented guys on here.

I`m late to the dance but...............that`s nice! Now when you need a "field" tester.....................!`m licensed.
  18. London wasn`t "bad" .....I just have no reason to return. Had a good experience while there though. Lure making is not for me. I do a lot of things but that`s not one of them. I was very inpressed by some of the hard baits I saw on this forum. Lots of talent out there. AS for "equatorial climates." You should try Florida in the dog days of summer....July and Aug.
  19. The Giants! No, make that NE. Wait a second, I like New York. I`m off for my coffee, be back later.
  20. PhilB: I`ve been to jolly old London..........no thanks. No dis-respect intended. I was going to put a "smiley" here but can`t find one.
  21. Can`t help you on Okeechobee or the Stick Marsh. Have fished The Big "O" many a time and the Stick Marsh a few times. Great places! Have you thought about getting a guide? Beats staying at the hotel or where ever. Just a thought. If you ever make it to Orlando to visit "Mickey" send me a PM. Always nice to take an out-of-stater fishing. Besides it saves a whole lot on gas.
  22. I wouldn`t call anything I do a ...specialty. I`ve made lots of rods over the years and do repair work on reels for guys. That`s about it. The rod repair work comes from guys who maybe broke a guide or tip things like that. Need it "now" whick I can do. Tear down on reels (water dunked, etc.) No problem. Usually I can get them out in a day or two. I still build a few rods but it`s getting to be more work than fun, if you know what I mean. Makes me some spending money but it takes time away from my "power-naps." One things for sure, I din`t want my "hobby" to turn into a .........job.
  23. Ran across this forum while "looking" around and it looked like a nice place to join so here I am. Live in the Central Florida area and fish most everywhere. As the St Johns river is rather close (5 mins) I do spend a good bit of time on it. Have a Bass-Boat and all the junk that goes with it. It goes with-out saying if you have a boat..........you`ve got freedom. Being a retired guy I like that. Nothing like fishing during the week when most are at work. Peace and quiet plus you don`t have to keep an eye out for those large boats coming at you at full battle speed with a wake that looks like a tsunami. . Hope to join in and contribute when I see something of interest.
