    My First Bluegill

6" x 3" I used hot mustard on this one. A proven color where I fish year round. Specially made and weighted to set in and on the nest.............
  2. Awesome spring catch Mark. I have'nt fished there yet. Have you tried castaic yet? It shure is cool knowing you don't have to buy these off the shelf lures anymore to catch fish like that. I also would like to know what pound test are you running throwing your bait there and type of pole? Thanks.

    Lure Dryer pics

I just might have took making a "drying Wheel" too serious ? I took a "set it ,and forget it " cooking machine with all the Bells and whistles, and mounted it to my spraying station . i took the motor side off the machine and started looking for ...well....a wheel... LOL.i ended up taking two different wheels off two different humungas remote control trucks and glueing them together making it possible to have a giant tire with a nice chrome rim. i reamed out the rim to fit the drive. it does track great and spins at a decent speed. I may have to choke down the speed inside the motor section...DING!!! Dinner is now served.

    First Underground swimbait

Thanks yes it swims awesome with a snappy retreive or a cruzing retreive. Does'nt roll or act weird like some swim baits can. sinks at 1/2 foot per.and birds like to attack it . was specially made for a an avid fishie gal.

  18. Oh One Other Thing I Do Is Take My Large Floor Fan And Stand The Lure Up On Its Belly On The Smooth Table And Wind Tunnel The Lure Like A Weather Vane Kinda Funny But Works For Me.
  19. I Myself Start From A Picture Say Like From "the Lore Of Sport Fishing" Trace Out Say Like A Blue Gill Or Lake Trout And Transfer To A One Inch Thick Peice Of Wood . Once I Cut It Out On My Ol Jig Saw I Sand Even The Edges On My Table Disc Sander. I Then Measure Centerline Of The Wood All Around The Edge With An Ink Pen Then 3/8 From Center Left And Right. I'll Go Around The Face Perrimiter 3/8 With A Pencil So That When I Sand At A 30 Degree The Marks Will Dissapear Even On Both Sides Edge And Face Of The Lure. Then From There Finesse The Cheecks And Fether Down Towards The Tail. I"ll Have A Good Rough Draft Of The Shape To Start With From There. I Cut Half Inch Strips By Say Four Inch Peices Of Different Grades Of Sand Paper To Roll Over All The Edges Like Shoeshinning . Once I Figure It's Even On Both Sides I Hold It Up Under The Edge Of My Little Lamp-shade From There I Can Use The Light And Shadows For Highs And Lows And Eveness Also . Try This With A Lure And You'll Get What I'm Saying. Old Indian Trick. And That Is Pretty Much What I'm Looking For. Thanks For The Replys Guys.
  20. So far from what i see and here is alot of custom paint jobs but no one talking about hand carving or using dremals or what have yah to make lures with. What percent starts from a chunk of wood rather than a mold or something of that nature. perhaps theres something like this in a forum somewhere? i would like to here from the seasoned pros. Thanks.
  21. uh what about that place called the pet store. go down and buy 10 little gold fish and 10 large gold fish 5 gold and five mixed. this doesn't work look for crawdads or water dogs. live bait always works. if not use what Al Linder uses day in -day out you cant beat a tube!
  22. saying hello from so. cal. Just when i thought a can of spray paint and some clear coat were cool enough for spraying my lures, when all of a sudden i run into a website like this and reality sets in........... humm i bess get a crackin. you guys make lures only these big manufactures wish they can reproduce . good job! p.s. my avatar has a suction cup glued on a splash-it back in 1995. one of my easyist ways to customize a lure.

    Hologramed for the ocean

A family member asked if i would like to go out on his boat from Dana Point. I never got the chance to go, do to a neck injury. Tuna was the trip, so since all i had was bass lures and no idea what lure to throw i figured i'd make my own. Them ocean lures shure are high priced. Out of nowhere this is my very first lure crafted on my old beltdrive machines. the lure never seen water or a set of hooks.
