  1. Sorry I was thinking I was in the hardbait section. I apologize
  2. I am sure it would work to some extent? (maybe wrong) but have never heard of anyone using an oil based paint. Would you brush it on or use an airbrush?
  3. Looks great!!! Can we see a pic with the tail? Other than that I think you need a bigger tub....or maybe just a lake
  4. I agree with the apple barrel mossy green is a great color....I dont have pics in front of me showing me the actual bait colors but if it helps its a great color to use lol
  5. I dont use DN myself so I will leave that one up to the experts...although I know there is a ton of great information if you search for it. I would personally always remove the eyes if you are able to I use devcon 5 min epoxy to glue them back in place and then coat them with d2t when the lure is ready for topcoat
  6. Tater you are one crazy fool!
  7. Mark Can you post some pics? I am trying to get a couple ideas for my next crappie paint
  8. Yeah I got the baits yesterday....I couldnt wait so I had to take it to the pool and see how it would swim....Love it but you are right just creep it along. I dont have another bait with action like that. Also that little bait is that one of your designs or a copy (megabass or something similar?)
  9. what about using a suction cup and drilling through it? Would the sides be too flimsy? or Am I way off base?

    Oxblood swimbait

Looks great!!! I love that purple through it.
  11. Lincoya its exactly things like this that make me want to contribute and continue growing with this site.....I just thought I would say thanks. Tierce I use basswood and use a similar store to above to get all my wood. It seems to hold up great even to using screw eyes and epoxy.

    More work

Ok I will leave feedback....but first you must answer me this. How come you posted your pictures so many times? This one is on here like 6 or 7 different times? A little bit of an over kill? Other than that I think you have some great fish catching colors I know that the smallies in MI would kill this one.
  13. jrhopkins makes all his swimbaits with the "thru wire"....I believe he is the one using that kevlar type material. He has some great stuff on here if you search for it. (fyi...his baits are amazing)
  14. just make sure you post pictures

  17. I own a few of the strike king king shads....they look good however the action of most of my homemade swimbaits are way better! They work ok however not something I would go crazy and buy up every color
