  1. Thanks Snax! You have answered all my questions and then some!!
  2. Thats outstanding work for a brush job! She should be amazing with an airbrush!
  3. Great looking bait!! And another innovative technique for tails!! This is one I will have to try. I do have one question: With deer hair being so bouyant will it make the tail section want to float and mess with the action?
  4. This is a good point about the dry time! I "thin" my D2T with acetone. I pour out about a quater size circle of D2T add 2 drops of acetone mix well and apply. It takes about 4 hours for it to harden enough to touch. I have had no problems with chipping of any kind.
  5. I was just wondering if there is anywhere to buy them in bulk? I have found tham in the local fly shops and sportsmans, just seem a little expensive to buy one at a time! Thanks
  6. I just finished up a rainbow swimbait. I used the sticker photofinish instead of tissue paper. I would have to say I like the sticker paper better. It seems to keep better detail of the pic used! Thanks for all the info!
  7. Those look great!!! Where do you find the sticker sheets I would like to try this!!
  8. Those look great!! cant wait to try it!
  9. I agree with losing the definition. I am also going to give it a whirl. Although I do like the flash that the foil gives the bait.
  10. I agree that the action is what counts. I have been working on a 4" shad swimbait. I had the prototype out unpainted, with the hinge pins cut 1/8" long sticking out of the top. I casted it just to see if it ran straight and had action, and what do you know a 12" largemouth came ip and smacked it. So I believe action is what counts.
  11. Here is a pic of my rainbow as compared to a Bomber Long A and an Red fin. Two of my favorite baits.
  12. Yes I did. In fact it was hard to get a good pic. had to shut the flash off and find a spot without direct sunlight. They where flashing to much for the pics. I guess that is a good thing.
  13. Here are my two latest baits. The rainbow is a tru photofinish, The perch is one that I drew and then Photfinished. What do you think. The baits are 7"
  14. Thanks I knew the plain paper would not be transparent i was just saying I liked the affect of foil under the tissue paper. I was wondering about tracing paper. Why do you say it's no good?
  15. I haven't tried the printer paper sounds like I need to. Although I do like the foil affect under the tissue paper.
  16. Thats awsome!!! Wish I would have had a class like that!
  17. Thanks to all of you. As far as the tail I had to add weight to it. With no weight it wanted to "float". Once I added weight (just a little) it work flawlessly. I also had to keep it the same width as the rest of the bait.
  18. They swim great. The stick baits have great belly roll and the swimbait is slow sinking and has great s action. I have only had them out in a few small ponds (full of small trout). Waiting for the ice to come off of the pike and laker lakes.
  19. Here are a few baits I Just finished. As you can see my painting skills are still teriible but the photofinishes are ok. Let know what you think.
  20. Hello Mrs. RED, As much as I like hoodies (I own a bunch) I was wondering if there was a chance of getting fleece jackets. Here in Colo. we like the warmth of fleece. I would proudly wear a TU fleece jacket on all my fishing trips.
  21. Mrs Red, I believe a good hook assortment would sell well also. I know I would use this site to purchase goods. I could come here get my questions anwsered and pick up the parts I need. Like Hazmail said one stop and shop, that is a beautiful thing.
  22. Mrs Red, I would like to see some good split rings in bigger sizes. (pike muskey sizes)
