  1. So I have been using D2T for several years now and never had any problems. I had a little bit of a layoff from painting lures and got back into it to paint some walleye baits for a friend. Bought some new D2T and mixed it the same way that I always have in the same room of my house. It doesnt last 1 minute and it turns tacky real fast, smells and very warm and has ruined several paint jobs for me. I actually had 2 containers of D2T thinking one was old or just bad. Did the same thing. It mixes fine and looks good so I start brushing it on and Boom! it tacks up out of nowhere and becomes useless. Anyone ever experience this? What gives?
  2. Has anyone tried to make a swimbait with the back tail section hinged to go up and down instead of side to side? Sorta like how a mermaid swims....Yeah, dont laugh but you know how bass are. It would be something different for them to attack. Plus, isn't that sorta how Crawfish swim through the water? Just curious if anyone has tried building one and how it turned out.
  3. I always keep a hair dryer close and ready because I will do about 4 to 5 lures at a time and since I do not have a drying wheel, I have to watch for the seperation. You can blow some hot air onto the D2T and it will thin out a little to put the brush on it again. I have a couple server fans that blow onto the lures while I turn them every min or two. I havent had too many problems this way but I am definitely looking to build a wheel since I am addicted to painting these dang lures.
  4. What a fun hobby, coming up with your own colors. I have been painting to sell by am finding a hard time letting them go.
  5. I have perfected this from a lot of research on what a "true" sexy shad pattern looks like. Which is different through a lot of people.
