  1. I saw a few on www.dccreationonline.com , if you're needing a couple. Good luck
  2. Now that's a drop test I can understand !!!!!! LOL
  3. Please inlighten me about the "drop test" I can't figure out how to identify the zinc wheel weights.
  4. Has anyone cut-off the left part [ opposite the reel handle ] off the thumb bar on a Castaic reel??? If not , What's you opinion about cutting it off ???? Would it work as well??? Thanks
  5. I used the front wheel of a tricycle, cut off pedals & attach 4.8 rpm rod finish motor, use front fork of trike on one side for lures to pass thru if you do it right the tike bearings will be incoporated into turner so it turns easy, drill holes in tire to accept exacto knife handle & hold in place with a rubberband. I can turn 5 c'baits @ a time. pretty cheap to make & very efficent. Once the bait is placed in knife handle there's no need to touch the bait while painting or clear coating until it's completely finished.
  6. I use the mustad #4 triple grips on my traps, it reduces the bass jumping off dramatically.
  7. I'm wanting more information about this 1/4 oz. bass jig with wire weedguard, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  8. Thanks for the "heads-up". What container could take this abuse???
  9. Thanks for the insight everyone. After reading trying it out the 1st time outside from afar, that itty bitty light came on . Never thought about a relief valve either . This is why I like this site & all you guys, it really helps avoid those redneck jokes that begin with "watch this" . Still like to know more.
  10. OOPS !! Can a hole be "CUT" into a glass jar???
  11. That sounds loke a good idea but it creates another question for me...........the box would be quite large for the quantity of liquid being de-gassed. Can a hole be into a glass jar?? I'm still waiting for others provide insight. Vern:)
  12. Yes the actual vacuum chamber that one would place the cup of rtv into.
  13. Thanks for the info about the vac. pump. What containers are best used to contain the mixture cup?? Thanks Vern
  14. Well Dave, I believe I really botched this inquiry. I saw a video about the foam but after I read your reply I think the vacuum was used to make the mold for the foam to be used in. Anyway I still like to know more about vacuum pumps. Vern
  15. I've been researching rigid foams, considering it for making crankbaits. My question is what are your recommendations for a vacuum source ?? I've seen a vacuum "pump" that uses compressed air but I'm curious if my air brush compressor would power it or if vacuum "pump" could be created/modified to utilitize my small compressor. I don't think I'd be working with any more than 2 to 3 ozs. at a time. What do you guys think is this attainable??? Thanks Vern
  16. Does anybody think this new bill can ban the use of crankbaits containing lead ?? No doubt it will gut most of one's tackle box, I think it will also remove our balsa baits too. illinois general assembly senate bill sb1269:boo:

Posts: 18 Gallery: 0 Ban on lead sinkers and jigs in Illinois As though we don't have enough politics in Illinois/ "State of Chicago", just introduced to the Senate last week, was a ban on lead sinkers and jigs. Call your senators and express your displeasure, there are more important things to worry about than minute chance a bird digs in the mud and finds a split shot and swallows it. In the bill it does address lure making. Section 2 line 3 para. "e" . For more info you can google: illinois general assembly senate bill sb1269:boo: Does anyone know what the comperable material is that can be used in place of lead?
  18. WOW !! this not acceptable we need to raise h*ll with our reps. & try to stop this in it's tracks instead of rolling over without a fight !! Don't ya'll feel our freedoms slipping away bit by bit??
  19. You should have float tested before the sanding began. New products are not neccessarily "right".........at least not where I live !!
  20. I use Createx paints,so.........try transparent canary yellow over the metallic silver. it should be very close. additional coats ofyellow will deepen the green.
