I just found it Lone Star Candle Supply - [Equipment], This should take you straight to the pots. Their is two diffrent sizes they under $11. The more you get the cheaper they are. They also have a handle on them that stays cool. You can heat them on the stove I did email the lady about that. You may want to email her for the right size don't I am not for sure on size.
-
If you need to dip in something check with candle making web sites. They have a tall candle melter or pourer you can put on the stove to keep it hot. I think it is 10" tall and 6" to 8" round if I rember right. The4y only cost $6 to $12 if I rember that right. I will look for the site and put up a link when I find it.

Yes they are the same thing you can get anywere. They just have diffrent size glue sticks.

I just found something out. I have been looking at others pictures of bass from diffrent states and then me and finfever whent fishing (He's from the west coast). He said the Largemouth here are wider, shorter and fatter then the one's he caught out west. The picture's I saw they are longer and thinner. Then I read today that some one caught a 23 inch Largemouth and it weighed four pounds. A 23inch bass here would be 7 to 7.5 pounds here. My buddy caught one two weeks ago in a farm pond that was 7.8 pounds and was 23 1/4 long. So does every part of the US have diffrent shape largemouth?
-
Thats a nice bass. Your guys Largemouth look longer then the one's in Nebraska ours are short and fat.

I just talked to a guy the other day that is looking for the same mold. He said he thinks that it hasn't came out yet. He has talked to Do-It and they wounldn't give him any info if their comming out with one. I have been trying to find a football one like that. I am going to start pour lead this winter but I can't find a mold I like.

How do we rid U.S. waters of Asian carp and Northern Snakeheads???
King Bait Co. replied to Spike-A-Pike's topic in The Docks
Brian_VA now if they breed up to five times a year thats a ton of snakeheads being reproduced. How many eggs does one snakehead lay each time they spawn? Pirannas lay up to 2500 eggs per fish with only 800 to a 1000 making it after they hatch( thats a low estament). Then the numbers get a little smaller as they grow. Now if you look at how snakeheads are a survivor fish they most likely would adapt to deeper waters as food gets harder to come by in the shallows. The bass my be eating them up but I wouldn't look at it as a new food source for them. You have to look at as they are fighting for their home waters. The snakeheads are most likely snacking on the babies too while eating or attacking the males first that gaurd the nest leaving the nest unprotected. Once the snakeheads get to a certian size they will have nothig to hunt them down. They can get into other lakes, rivers and steams by ducks and geese. The eggs will stick to them and they fly somewere else and leave them. Thats how some of our lakes got over run with carp and shad. Their should be action taken now not later even if its shocking them. The longer we wait I will be fishing for snakehead in the next ten years here. The state and fed gov needs to quit talking and get things rolling now. Why not let commercial fish of snakeheads start we have proven we can wipe out other types of fish this way. Their is a market for them all over the US. Then make it once their gone their gone and if you get caught bring them in the US its five years in prison per fish. It kinda makes you wonder if someone in the gov or has ties to the gov has a plan to harvest them for profit. -
Yes some people may ask the question over and over. Now what would we have to talk about then or maybe a new way of doing somthing might get thrown in. You also have to relize we have to pay now so by us I mean everybody if new people ask a stupid question in our eyes we should give them an answer. If we just say do a search they might get mad and not want to join because nobody will answer anything for them. So what would be the point for them to join.

I have some stik baits that are avocado with green flake. I got them once and have never seeen them agian. I went though fifty in a season. We named them the money stik. I will have to try them with the red flake when I get avocado on my next order.

I got one from Graingers it is a better one than the one you can get at Lure Craft. It was also $10 cheaper. I haven't used it yet its still in the package. I would get one from the hobby store they are a lot cheaper and if it don't work your only out $5 to $ 10.

Kajan is that made from RTV from a tube? Where do you get your RTV from?
-
I wash my molds almost every time I use them. I just use water to get the glitter out that sticks to the mold.
-
The name on the tube is Red Devil High Temp RTV Silicone.
-
Jim's right the frog works better if they sink. I have that them sink to the bottom before and had a bass hit them when I was starting to reel it in. It has happened a few times. The legs won't get hardly any action if they sink.
-
I was at work today and was stocking my silicone that are tinners use and I noticed that we have RTV in a tube. I wonder if I could make molds with it. The only problem I could think of was its brick red. I don't know if it would stain the plastics or not. It is for high temp 500 degrees and is flexable after it sets. I may try it next week I forgot to grab a tube today on my way out or has anybody tried that RTV yet?
-
None of my LC molds have stained I have had some of them for a few years. Its most likely a reaction to the heat, color, plastic or scent I think I covered them all (LOL). They may have switched RTV brands or something like that. I would say if it isn't discoloring your plastics their still good but if it does call LC and see if you can send it back for a new one. I forgot to ask did you clean it with anything? That may have done it also.

tylerd1994 wait till you hit a five plus on your frog. When that happens don't do what I did. I Just stood their and stare at it for a little bit. It will be the sickes bite you will ever see. Go job on hitting one on your own pour:yay:. Ed is right on the count down it will take a few times to get it. You will jump the gun on the first few. Most of the time around here they hit it so hard they are hooked anyways But like Ed said wait. It will seal the deal.
-
I like that color I am going to order some on my next order. Ed Del does have it you said?
-
Lure Craft sells it the number is 1X304. Thats for avocado green if thats what you were looking for.
-
I will pay their shipping I have my order in two days from the time I placed it every time. I had a back order from them that got lost in the mail. I called them about it and I had it the next day. Their customer service and their fast shipping makes up for the few extra dollars you pay for shipping.

What do you feed your dog? Berkley Chow:lol:

I think they are pretty much the same Lure Craft, Del-Mart and M-F all sell RTV to make your own molds. You can get diffrent hardness of RTV from places. Its pretty much who you like to buy from. I have Lure Craft RTV molds and I have some made with M-F RTV and they work and feel the same. I haven't got any molds made from Del's RTV yet so I can't say what his RTV is like (maybe he'll send me some:lol:). I think some of finfever's is from Del's and they looked the same as Lure Craft's. Hope that helps a little bit.

M-F has a pre made red shad color. I think Creek Critters uses it check their site or check the M-F site they have pictures of their colors. I have the M-F red shad but I haven't poured it yet. They may list it as red shad or maroon I can't rember. If you get it that will give you a good base color to tweek to what you want.
